What I think about sweaters
You know what need to cease to exist?

Short sleeved sweaters.

If it's cold enough to wear a sweater,  yo, it's too cold for short sleeves.

And don't get me started on short sleeved TURTLENECKED SWEATERS.

I grasp that sleeveless turtlenecked sweaters might be useful under a jacket or a cardigan or shirt, to keep your arms from being too bulky or you from getting too warm indoors.

But short sleeves?

Pointless. Unflattering. Wrong.

I don't disagree with you. *hides all pictures of Ny from 2001-2004*

However, i'd like to point out the value of short sleeve sweaters.

If you are allowed to wear sweaters to work. And you work full-time, go to school full-time, and don't own an ironing board, but are prone to getting very very hot in a sweater. Short sleeve sweaters are you best friend. You won't get hot, and you don't have to iron them.

I don't iron anything. That is why the goddess invented shower rods and coat hangers. And, you know, dry cleaners. I don't even own an iron, yo.

um, people putting themselves through school can't afford dry cleaners.

but yes, coat hangers and shower rods do come in handy.

I rarely, rarely even now use dry cleaner. Mostly I just don't have things that need ironing. I literally don't own an iron and haven't had one for at least 15 years.

Actually I love sweaters that have cap sleeves. Especially if they are part of sweater set. I think they are pretty and flattering.

Now....turtleneck sweaters that are sleeveless or those sweater vests that Brian Kinney seemed to love in S3...ugh!! Just ugh.

I categorize cap sleeves as sleevless. I agree with you on that.

I still think Brian looks hot in his sleeveless sweater vest.

THANK YOU!!

I mean - how can ANYTHING that shows off his arms be anything than of the Good?

I don't get it why people seem to hate those. He looks good!

Now...see. I don't define that as a sweater. It looks more like a t shirt. I love and I mean LOVE him in wife beaters. Now that's hot, but those gaudy cheesy bulky sweaters..blech.

;-)

Oh - I love him in wife beaters as well. AND those sweater vests. Mmmmm...

Shit, I can only think of ONE article of clothing I don't like on him - and that's those jeans he wore when Justin brought the bracelet back. Made him look short and bulky.

Callie, it is the fabric and the patterns of the sweater vests that bother me.

Short sleeves serve the same purpose as sleeveless. They're just for those of us that will have wings in our old age, or can't wear sleeveless to work and take off the jacket. ;-)

I worked in a very conservative office wear shells or camisole tops were not allowed, at all. Jackets were required. Open toed shoes were teh evol and panty hose was mandatory. I wore short sleeved or cap sleeved sweaters all of the time.

I don't mind short sleeved sweaters. I get what you're saying, but I am constantly pushing my sweater sleeves up anyway so it works out about the same really.
