Girl time  

I've been so busy this week that I completely forgot to squeee about my big news today.  Two weeks ago I was at the Chanel counter in Dillards (at the mall) buying mascara and talking to the saleswoman about some eye products when she asked me if I'd like to sign up for a free facial and make-over!

 *dies and wakes up in girl heaven*    

I'm so excited right now.  The only  other facial I've had  was twenty-something years ago.   I'll let you know how it went when I get back :)

MY SKIN FEELS SO GOOD RIGHT NOW!

It's soft and smooth, not dry and tight like it used to be. And, I have an even complexion. No ruddy skin tone poking through a too-light foundation.

Even my anti-girlie daughter thought I looked nice :D

They're pricey, but Chanel's skin and makeup products are really excellent.

My *free* facial and makeover cost me $208 today and I only bought four things (3 skin care and the foundation)! Next Friday I'm going back for the blush and eyeshadow quartet. Eventually I'll work my way up to a complete beauty routine :) It's definitely the most expensive products I've ever bought, but other than having my hair colored every two months, I don't really do anything for myself. It's a splurge, but hell, I'm getting older and if I don't do it now, when will I?

I was buying my second tube of Xie's famous mascara. The one I had bought in December ran out :(
