I've had this urge to PB the lovely Catherine Bell as of late, but before I started working on anything, wanted to see if anyone would be interested in any lines? She'll be in her early 40's (43/44), but that's all I have right now. So, any lines that need filling as she's a completely blank slate at this time, throw them at me and let's see what we can come up with!

EDIT: This is Kara Stott, PB'd by the lovely Catherine Bell. She's a soon-to-be 44 year old mother of 1, the owner of the yet to be named floral shop that [info]moggs works at, and the aunt of [info]alssa (through her father). I am still working out the details, but since I had a little more information on her, I wanted to update this post. Any other familial connections that are in game would be great - so anyone that is related to ~alssa through her father's side of the family would be great. Neighbors would also be lovely, and she's in Sleepy Hollow for reference. Fellow small business owners (the floral shop is of the 'mom and pop' variety) would be great as well, or even customers and more employees if that tickles your fancy. Other parents with children in daycare, a babysitter, and anything else child-oriented...

If anyone feels like they'd want to take on another character, I'd love to get her husband in game, as well as some best/close friends that are her age or close to it. I do have face suggestions, but nothing that's set in stone.

Did you have any sort of profession in mind? I have Madeleine working at a floral shop and would love it if the owner were in game. If it's not something you're interested in, I'd love to work something else out.

I didn't have a profession in mind just yet, but I could definitely fill that line. Are there any details that you've come up with as far as the floral shop or their professional relationship that would be relevant?

I figured it was something smallish, like a mom and pop flower shop. She would have only just started there last month, just after the semester started. Madeleine is pretty outgoing and bubbly so, I imagine they would have a good working relationship. Her own mother is pretty scarce in her life and more like an acquaintance, so someone to take her under their wing would be kind of nice.

That sounds perfect. I picture Kara being something of a mother hen that takes care of everyone, so she would definitely take Madeleine under her wing and sort of mother her.

Fantastic! It will be really nice for her to have someone to talk to. She has her grandmother but she's old fashioned and Madeleine is beginning to grow out of that sort of life and into her own.

And she will try not to be too old fashioned since she's not exactly that young herself. But, at the very least, she'll be impartial and unbiased and a good, non-judgmental ear when Madeleine needs it. I also picture Kara inviting Madeleine over for dinner fairly often, or bringing lunch to work for her, and other things of that nature.

Aww, that would be sweet. Madeleine actually enjoys cooking so, I can see her wanting to help. It will just be nice to have someone to sort of bridge the generational gap between her and her grandmother.

He's turning 40 this year.. How about having her work at the NYU with him? He just arrived to the States and might need a few good friends and since they're about the same age :)

I've decided to have her be the owner of the floral shop mentioned above. However, maybe we can have these two be neighbors instead? She'd be the sort to go over with a pie or two when he first moved to the area to welcome him to the neighborhood.

If you haven't figured out her family background yet she could be her father's youngest sister? Or she could be one of her older cousins on that side of the family? I never said exactly how many siblings her father had just that he came from a bigger family and that most of them were involved in law or other professional jobs. :)

I like the idea of a family line, and would love to have her be your girls aunt. Aside from the careers most of them chose to go into, which I don't know if I'll do for this girl, is there anything else I should know family wise?

Most of the family info is actually in Alyssa's journal! What she would know about Alyssa though is that she is really a nice girl. When she was a junior in HS her boyfriend/best friend died from a car crash and she's always been very very sensitive to death since then. It makes her freeze up and she becomes a bit of a shell of herself. In game she has an uncle on her mom's side ~donovanoshea and a cousin ~emlis who is also one of her best friends so she would undoubtedly know Emma.

I just read through her bio. Am I understanding this correctly in that Kara's family is the old money, political family? And her brother would be Andrew/mother would be Violet, correct? Family wise, are they a close family (with the exception of the dueling grandmothers)? I apologize for the questions, I just want to make sure that I have it all correct before I start writing her bio out.

Oh no don't worry about the questions! Yes you are understanding correctly I'm sorry if it's all worded weird. The family is pretty close, most of them live in Westchester County or down in the Bronx/Manhattan.

I also totally went brain dead last night. ~guttenberg is also one of Alyssa's cousin on the other side of the family. They're close but not quite as close as she is with Emma.

Jumping in! Alyssa's parents love him. They are a little overprotective of Alyssa at times but they adore Ryan even if he did marry their baby drunkenly in Vegas.

Kara would probably feel the same. You could probably say that she subscribes to the "do what makes you happy" philosophy, and as long as Alyssa was happy, she'd be happy for her.

My apologies for the late response! I didn't get the notif, though ~alssa's already filled you in a bit! Ryan loves Alyssa's parents as much as they love him, though he does feel a bit guilty for the entire drunk Vegas marriage bit. Basically he's a pretty friendly guy! Loves sports, believes chivalry isn't dead, loves to help people. He's a huge Elvis fan, too. Chances are that at some point in the past, he's waxed poetic to Kara about how awesome Elvis is, whether she wanted to hear about it or not!

It is not a problem at all; I completely understand how IJ can get when it comes to notifications. I can see Kara loving him just as much as her brother/sister-in-law do, and as I stated above to ~alssa, as long as her niece was happy, she would be happy for her/them. She'd also love that he's something of a dying breed concerning chivalry, and that he's an Elvis fan. She definitely wouldn't have a problem with listening to him wax poetic about The King.

I can offer Nate for something! He's 48, grew up in Brooklyn Heights, but moved to Seattle for work/marriage but relocated back to NY in 1998. He has a nineteen year old daughter... Did Kara grow up in NY?

She did grow up in NY, yes. I haven't really sorted out all her history, but she has spent her entire life in NY (Bronx/Manhattan/Westchester County). Did you have anything specific in mind as far as a line was concerned?
