Who: Ole & Arabella
Where: Survivor beach, possibly right around the jungle edge heading in.
When: Sunday, September 26, 2004, mid day

Ole was still very, very confused by everything happening. He'd jumped into it all, helping where he could and trying to make friends, but he couldn't say any of it really made any sense to him. People kept saying and doing things that baffled him, and yet he always seemed to be the odd one in these situations. He hadn't seen Gabrielle since meeting her, and that saddened him.

She wasn't quite as confused as him, but she seemed to be closer then the others. Though there was one person around he thought might understand. He hadn't spoken with her, but he'd heard a few of the others doing so. She sounded to be just as confused as him if he took their whispered words to mean the right things.

Which is how Ole found himself walking up and down the beach in search of the women. This task would be so much easier if only he could recall what they had said her name was.. He could have sworn it had something to do with a bell.

For five days she had been stuck in this place. It wasn't quite clear to her why she had chosen to remain here for so long. The injury on her head felt fine now, and it wasn't as though she had a reason to stay. After all, the majority of the people on the beach thought her insane. In her opinion, they were the crazy ones, believing some big metal bird could carry them all and remain in the air. That was madness.

Arabella knew that there were at least two other people who claimed to have not been on the plane. Gabrielle, for one, but she hadn't seen the kind blonde since she had sewn up Arabella's head four days ago. The other person, Ole, she had heard was his name, the young woman had not met, but from what she had heard, he was just as confused as she was about this whole mess.

Of course, it was entirely possible that Ole and Gabrielle had dispersed into the jungle, heading back to wherever it was they came from. It was a smart idea, actually, and now that Arabella felt strong enough, she made up her mind to head off into the jungle. Perhaps she could find some sort of landmark that looked familiar enough to help her find her way.

Sword tucked safely within the sheath tied to her belt, the Italian finished gathering up a few other necessary supplies (food, water, blankets and the like) and headed off toward the jungle.

Not too far in the young woman noticed the figure of a man standing nearby. He had the look about him that he was searching for something and, to Arabella's surprise, his clothing looked... normal. At least, normal to her. Maybe this was that Ole man people had been talking about.

"Hello there!" She called to him as she slowed her pace.

Ole had been searching for anyone he thought might be the right woman, but had so far seen no one who could be her. When he heard the hello there, he turned his head to make sure the voice was calling to him, then turned to take in it's owner.

As he took her in, he was surprised and more then a little pleased. She looked normal! He wasn't sure how much he missed normal until that very moment. Though her sword wasn't quite as normal as he was used to, it wasn't completely foreign. The bow and arrows he himself had on him were more common in his village, after all.

"Hello," he called back, walking a few paces near her. "You were not on the.." he paused, trying to remember the word Gabrielle and Karen had used, "machine either, yes?"

She watched him as he stepped nearer, wary of his movements just as she was wary of everyone else who was a stranger to her.

Brown eyes flickered to the man's face when he spoke, and she replied, "No, I was not." Pause. "You are Ole, then?"

A smile broke across Ole's face, wide enough that it almost hurt. "I am!" The smiled wavered then, "I am afraid I do not already know your name though, fair lady."

The girl huffed a small snort out of her nose in amusement at the man's response. He was going to be one of those cheerful sorts, wasn't he?

"My name is Arabella," she replied, without extended her hand to shake his. Normal-looking and polite he may be, but he could still be dangerous.
