Who: Jordan, Darry, the perhaps Jack's 'group'?
Where: Darry's Cave; then the jungle
When: Day 4; Very early morning

Jordan’s eyes suddenly opened, she raised her hand to her forehead and could tell she was in a sweat. Was it because she had a dream the night before? She tried to remember what it could have been about, but she couldn’t. Sitting up on the bed with a mighty struggle, she groaned as pain stung her. She had happened to forget the cut on her stomach, Darry sure did distract her. That’s when she also remembered she stayed in his cave, turning next to her where she last saw him; Sighing of relief to see that he was still there

Was it morning already? It seemed like Darry had just drifted off to sleep, dreaming about finding a woman in the jungle. Whose kisses had the lingering taste of mango, and had the ability to make him grin like a love-sick puppy.

He yawned, and rolled over. Landing on the floor face down. Ouch. "Morning, floor," he said in a sarcastic tone. Then he heard a noise, and sat up.

Glancing back at the bed, he saw the source of the noise. Apparently Jordan hadn't been a dream...He grinned, "Hi." When he noticed she seemed to be favoring her side, he asked, "How'd you sleep?"

Jordan had been watching him then winced when he hit the floor, although she couldn’t help but laugh as she did her best to sit up “I bet that was a nice wake up call.” She teased with a smile, then in a slight serious tone, “You okay?”

She swung her legs around thinking her bandage needed to be changed; she was still contemplating whether or not to ask if he had any around. She didn’t want him worrying. Thinking of her answer on how she slept; “Once I was convinced that there were no spiders in this cave, I had an alright sleep.” She chuckled “Hope I didn’t take up too much room.”

Darry did an embarrassed laugh, trying to his best to sound more macho, "Of course. It's all part of the morning routine." He grinned and stretched his arms.

He smiled, "Glad to hear it. I was kinda afraid we were going to have a case of the princess and the pea." Truth be told, he had enjoyed having her close to him, "It was fine, I managed to stay on until now, so I'd call it a successful night."

After a moment, he stood up and grabbed his shirt off the bed. He threw it on and then headed over toward the food supplies. Looking back and grinning, "I'd offer to make waffles, but we seem to be out of the mix at the moment."

Jordan nodded, not believing him a bit “Oh sure, but it was an amusing way to start off the morning.” She chuckled.

She frowned, “princess and the pea?” Was that some kind of children’s book? Letting out a yawn, she didn’t recognise the line...or being the crazy person Darry was he could have made it himself.

Getting off the bed, following him, giving into a couple more yawns, she held her stomach “Oh thanks, I could do with a waffle now...” Looking at his food supplies “Guess I can always have another mango?” She suggested with a smile.

For a second she wondered if he noticed anything that had to do with her cut, she decided on finally asking him “Hey, you don’t happen to have any bandages do you?”

"Mmm, yeah." Darry realized he must be sounding a bit like a dork. "That old fairytale about the prince who's looking for a princess." A pause, "The queen secretly hides a pea under a stack of twenty mattresses, which the possible princess of the moment has to sleep on. If she has a terrible night's sleep and feels the pea, she must have the delicate features of a real princess, so she'll win the title." He laughed, "It sounds kinda lame when I say it out loud."

He nodded, sympathetically, "And some bacon would be nice too." A pause, "Mangoes are healthier eating anyway." He grabbed a banana for himself, and passed a mango over to Jordan.

Just as he started peeling open the banana, she mentioned bandages. Obliviously, "Not really." When her words started to sink in, he added in a worried tone, "Why? Are you hurt?" Maybe that would explain the wincing he saw earlier...

Darry smirked, "Not a chance. Especially if it means admitting I like fairytales and happy endings and all that."

Have nothing to worry about? That sounded like a red flag to him, but she pressed on, so he ignored it for now. "Good," he said in response to her coming back for mangoes, "I think I might migrate between here and the beach occasionally. So this can sorta be like our own private club house." As an afterthought, "What about the berries?"

"Sounds like a plan then," he grinned. "Any certain time you wanna start wandering back?"

Jordan chuckled “I think you’ve already admitted liking fairytales and happy endings without realising it.” She paused, thinking it wasn’t a bad thing, adding, “It’s not a bad thing to do.”
She grinned, “I like the sound of that, the beach might get too hectic for us.” Nodding, “Of course the berries and that honeycomb, that was really good.”

Jordan shrugged “Anytime as long as it’s before night. I really don’t have anyone to go back too...only for the rescue...” She had a feeling they’ll be here for sometime, but she’s got to think positive.

"Believe what you want, but I'm never going to let you claim this one as a win." Darry smirked.

He nodded, "And if you're lucky, I might just let you see my honeycomb collecting skills in action. Assuming I can find another hive..."

"Hmm," he thought for a moment, before saying with a mischievous grin, "That leaves enough time for a field trip then." A pause, "If you're interested in seeing a bit more of the island, that is."

Jordan returned Darry’s smirk with a grin, cutting the last of her mango “I can make you let me win it.”

She the raised an eyebrow “If I’m lucky and you might? If you found one hive, there has to be others out there…unless you’re really scared of the bees.” It was her turn to smirk.

Interested? Jordan thought for a moment, she had been hoping she wouldn’t be here long enough to get to know more of the island but if it meant spending more time with Darry, she smiled “As long as that, mon…whatever it was that chased us doesn’t chase us again, I am up for a field trip.”

Darry was so shocked by her touching his lips, that he had a hard time thinking of a witty comeback. "I...uhh, don't ask me anymore questions that make me think of songs then."

He grinned, "I'm glad it's up to your standards." A pause, "It, umm, feels as good as it looks too. Warm water and all." Another pause, "Too bad you don't have your suit."

Smiling, he stepped up to the edge and took a seat, allowing his bare feet to slide into the water. If Jordan wasn't here, he'd probably already be stripping and thinking about how ironic it would be if someone finally showed up to rescue him right then.

Jordan tried to her best to cover her smirk and Darry's reaction "I'm fine with that." She replied.

She watched him with curious as he stepped up to the edge. Different ideas were running through her head, one in particular when he mentioned her suit, but she couldn't do that...could she? She'll probably give the poor guy a heart attack.

Finally deciding on something, she takes her shoes off and follows Darry to the edge, luckily there was enough room for her and she sat down, slipping her feet into the water. She smiled he was right, it was nice and warm "Well there's always an alternative for when we don't have suits..."

She then curiousily waited for his reaction.

Darry studied her for a moment, tilting his head slightly to the side. He tried to determine if she was seriously suggesting what he thought she was.

He smiled, "Alright. I'm in if you're in." In one swift motion, he was back on his feet with his shirt over his head again, revealing his black rose tattoo over his bellybutton.

The rational part of his brain started to kick in, as he started in on the zipper of his jeans. Leaving them on, but undone, "Hey, you're not just waiting to steal my clothes and run away with them, are you?" He was only half-joking.

Yet again Darry managed to catch her off gaurd as she was not expecting him to go along with it. She smiled to cover it up, quickly standing up; that's when she noticed his black rose tattoo, she grinned "Nice tatt."

Deciding to go opposite she started with her jeans, tugging them down "Now that you mention it..." She laughed "No, why would I do that?" She gave him a mischivious grin.

[ooc: Really? I didn't know he was in a commercial, lol funny stuff!]

Darry laughed at her challenge, "Can do." He put his arms back as far as he could reach and then quickly brought them forward, putting his full body into the action. SPLASH!

Grinning like a fool, "You don't even want to know how powerful my cannonballs can be."

Jordan tried to duck away but wasn’t quick enough to escape and it actually hurt, not that she was going to admit it as she spluttered water, running her hands through her hair “Darry!”

Glaring at him when he mentioned his cannonballs, part of her wanted him to prove it “Maybe you can show me another day.” She decided when she swam up to him again, playfully pushing him away.

Faking innocence, "What? You're the one who challenged me."

Darry smiled at her playfulness, suddenly realizing the symbolic nature of the word cannonballs. He laughed, "You can count on it."

Looking up at the sky, "Maybe we should start heading back to the beach soon." He didn't want their fun to end, but at the same time he wanted to seem at least mildly responsible.

Jordan laughed at his so called innocence “Nothing, nothing at all!” She nodded “It’s a deal then.

She forced herself to look up at the sky too and felt disappointed that he was right. A part of her didn’t really want to go back to the beach where she hardly knew anyone “Time flies when you’re having fun.”

Looking back to where they had jumped in, far enough for a race “Wanna race?” She suggested but decided to get ahead start and started swimming back to their clothes.

Darry was slightly wounded by her words, wanting to be a guardian. He didn't show it though, smiling instead, "Good to hear."

He looked down when he felt her hand, surprised at first. His gaze then shifted back to her eyes as he interlaced his fingers with hers. "Feeling scared?" he joked as they continued walking.

Jordan looked at him, with reassurance "If there is a problem, I promise to tell you." Hoping he would believe her as it was the truth.

Looking down at their hands when he accepted hers, she smirked when he asked her, looking back up "A tad, just thought of a way to stop us from getting seperated." She explained with a casual shrug.

Darry smiled and nodded, "Good. Because if you don't, I might not show you my cannonballs later."

"I do come up with good ideas now and then." She noted with a nod." She wasn't sure how to reply to his 'wouldn't want to lose you' comment, so she just grinned like a dork and squeezed his hand a litt.e

Looking at him with a smile "Most probably, if not, I've got some clothes you could borrow."

Jordan pretended to think about the idea "Sounds intruging, Adam and Eve kinda way... just as long as that whatever it was doesn't come back." Speaking about the thing that chased them, she sure hoped they didn't encounter that again.

She glanced to Darry with all serious than let out a laugh "Alright, if you insist! We'll see what I have when we get there."

Darry nodded in agreement in regards to not wanting a repeat of the chase. "Although, if we're going with the Adam and Eve thing, you have already eaten the forbidden mangoes," he teased.

With a grin, "I could probably just settle for finding another pair of jeans. As long as they stay relatively dry there shouldn't be much of a problem."
