Who: Juliet Burke and Mikhail Bakunin
Where: Flame Station
When: Day Two, Late Afternoon

[ooc: I'm assuming we're going with the canon part when Ben takes Juliet to the Flame and Mikhail shows her, her sister? If not let me know and I shall edit accordingly :D]

Juliet had triple checked that Ben was no where to be found when she set off on her "walk". The last thing she needed, or wanted, was him finding out where she was going. Ever since she had seen the images of her sister the other day, she couldn't get the woman's smiling face out of her mind. It had made Juliet cry, out of both happiness and sadness.

She wanted to see Rachel's smiling face again. She wanted to see her nephew. Juliet knew full well Ben would never allow it, but maybe, just maybe - she could convince Mikhail to do it. Of course the voice of reason in Juliet's head told her that even this was very unlikely.

But when had Juliet ever listened to her voice of reason? If she listened to it, she wouldn't be here.

The walk through the jungle to the Flame station, had been somewhat peaceful. There was no Ben, and no Harper glaring at her. It was hard to believe such a beautiful place was filled with such awful tragedy. With so much death. So much danger.

Juliet stepped out into a small clearing, almost happy to see the Flame station in front of her.

"Mikhail?" Juliet called out, approaching the station. "It's Juliet," then remembering what Ben had said the other day, "I'm coming in...don't shoot."

Even before Juliet had reached the Flame, Mikhail had been aware of her prescence. Not hers specifically, but he knew that someone was on their way to his station. Which meant he would have to be ready for whomever it was.

Mikhail took one of the many rifles off his wall and inspected it, then loaded it before sidling over to the window. He peered outside, noting that the animals in the yard were reacting to some unseen motion within the jungle. There was definitely something going on.

When Juliet stepped out from the brush, Mikhail was surprised at first, then intrigue took over. Benjamin had brought the woman here only a few days ago, yet she was back again. This time - this time without Benjamin. The Russian had to wonder what was going on. Perhaps Benjamin had sent the woman to deliver a message of some sort?

Though he wasn't about to shoot Juliet (yet, anyway), Mikhail kept his rifle aimed at her - or, rather, past her, at the jungle. It could always be some sort of trap. The crash survivors may have discovered his little hideout and taken Juliet as a hostage in an attempt to lure him outside. Clever plan, but neither Ethan nor Goodwin had reported yet that any of the survivors suspected them.

Perhaps the blonde was simply here to retrieve the files Benjamin had wanted made of those on Oceanic 815? The assignment had only been given to Mikhail three days ago, sufficient enough time to get at least the majority of the survivors' information.

All the while these thoughts circulated through his mind, Mikhail kept his eye trained on Juliet.

[/ramble. XDDDD]

Juliet kept her head held high, trying not to think of the possible consequences if Ben found out what she was doing.

"You can put the gun down, Mikhail," Juliet said. "I'm alone."

Not that that would mean anything, the majority of those on the island seemed to be the suspicious type. But then it seemed they all had good reason too be.

"Can I come in?" Juliet asked.

In spite of Juliet's assurance, Mikhail did not lower his weapon.

"Did Benjamin send you? Are you here for the files on the survivors?" He called from his place at the window.

Juliet sighed slightly, and shook her head.

"Do you really think, Ben would trust me with those files?" she asked, crossing her arms over her chest. "He'll come himself when he wants them - or send Richard."

She paused. Might as well admit to the fact Ben didn't send her, she thought. Maybe, just maybe it would mean Mikhail would let her in. And if not, it wasn't like Ben could do anything that bad to her...what could be worse than being here?

"Ben didn't send me, I came on my own."

She did have a point. Ben wouldn't allow anyone else to read those files unless he read them first himself. At least not without specific orders.

Curiosity peaked, Mikhail lowered his rifle and sidled over to unbolt the door. He pulled it open slowly, his one eye staring past Juliet and into the jungle. He still wasn't quite sure he trusted that she was alone.

"Come inside, then," he said, finally looking at her.

Juliet gave Mikhail a slight smile in thanks and entered the station. Once she did she reached into the back of her pants and pulled out her gun.

"Here," she handed it to him, to show she really wasn't a threat. "I'm not here to cause any trouble. I'm here because I have a favour to ask."

Mikhail's expression remained neutral, neither friendly nor aggressive. He took the gun from the woman, emptied it of bullets, then set it and his rifle with his other weapons. The bullets he tucked into his chest pocket.

"A favor?" He asked. "What kind of a favor?" With his hand, the man indicated that she could sit.

[Last reply until tomorrow morning, I need to try to get a good sleep because I might need blood tests tomorrow D: *cries*]

"Thank you," Juliet said as she sat.

She wasn't exactly sure how she was going to ask him to bring back the footage of her sister again.

"It's nothing major," Juliet replied, avoiding saying what it was, for the moment. "I realize I'll probably be in your debt, however. And I accept that."

[honoez. *clings* good luuuuck]

As he listened to her speak, Mikhail wandered into his kitchen to prepare some iced tea. He had so few visitors, which he was usually content with, yet sometimes he simply enjoyed being hospitable.

"I will do what I can, but I can make no promises," he replied, carrying in a tray with two glasses and a pitcher of iced tea on top. He set it on the coffee table. "What is it you wish to ask of me?"

Juliet smiled in thanks when Mikhail brought through the iced tea.

She swallowed slightly, come on Juliet, let's get this over with.

"You showed me a video of my sister the last time I was here. I want to see her again."

Mikhail's expression never altered. He lifted his glass of iced tea to his lips and took a sip before raising his eyes back to the woman. It really didn't surprise the man that Juliet was here requesting such a thing. She was obviously close to her sister, and even a brief glimpse of her old life must have been very tempting.

On the one hand, he truthfully wasn't an evil man. He simply did his job, and he did it well. It was one of the reasons he chose solitude, rather than dwell with the others at the Barracks or any of the other populous locations. On the other hand, Ben would be angry if he discovered that Mikhail had done something like this behind his back. Of course, it wasn't like Mikhail was afraid of his leader, and it wasn't as though he expected Ben to punish Juliet. After all, it was common knowledge that Juliet was Ben's favorite here on the island.

At length, he replied, "You are indeed asking a lot of me, Juliet. Benjamin will not like it if he found out." He sighed through his nostrils. "I can give you the tape that you saw. But getting newer footage of your sister will be difficult. Richard will do nothing without Benjamin's permission."

Juliet was surprised. This wasn't the answer she expected, but then again...she wasn't really sure what to expect.

"You'll just give me the tape?" she asked.

She nodded at the mention of Richard. It was true that Richard did seem to only act on Ben's orders. But there had to be some way of getting Richard to get more footage of her sister. Everyone had a weakness..right?

As she had spoken, the man had taken another sip from his glass. His eyebrows twitched and a light smirk curved his lips. "As you said, Juliet. You will owe me a favor." He lifted his glass in a silent toast and took yet another sip.

Juliet winced inwardly, but she had said that. And really, almost anything would be worth it for the chance to see her sister - the old tape and possibly new footage.

"Did you have anything in mind?" Juliet asked, taking a glass of ice tea for herself.

Mikhail merely smiled. He set his glass down on the tray and rose to his feet, then crossed to the room in which his communications equipment was kept. He returned moments later with the tape in his hand, and extended it to Juliet.

"When I need the favor, I will find you."
