Who: Jack Shephard and Allison Cameron
Where: The jungle, then the beach
When: Day One; Half an hour after the crash.
Eager to get free of the suffocating jungle, Jack had broken into a jog, doing his best to avoid the branches and vines that tried to desperately to attack his face. The numb feeling in his shoulder (which had spread halfway down his side) was starting to wear off now, and each motion of his arm caused a new wave of pain to shoot through him.
Finally, with a huge sigh of relief, Jack broke through the trees and found himself staring out across the calm ocean. It was picturesque really, with the exception of the massive destruction of the plane spread across the sand.
He wasn't sure how long he had been in the jungle. It could've been minutes, or perhaps hours. People were scrambling around helping others. There were bodies everywhere. Some moving, some not.
Jack, still breathing heavily from his exertions, stepped out of the jungle and headed toward the wreckage. He needed to find something to stop his own bleeding - and possibly find something to stitch up his shoulder, if need be.
With that in mind, the doctor knelt by some of the luggage and began rummaging through it. He found several handkerchiefs and, after searching through a few more bags, managed to scrape up a small sewing kit with various colors of thread inside.
After finding what he needed, Jack sought solitude away from the rest of the survivors. He found it a little ways down the beach, close enough to still see the wreckage, but far enough away to be private.
Dropping to his knees, the doctor began stripping off his jacket, shirt, and undershirt, each more painful to remove than the last.
