Who: Allison Cameron, Arabella Cardinale and Gabrielle
Where: Survivors Beach
When: Day One - Not Long After The Crash

Cameron had no idea if it had been the pain in her shoulder, or the screaming which had woken her up. The brunette sat up, surrounded by chaos. It took a few seconds for the reality of what just happened to sink in, and when it did Cameron was on her feet.

She quickly rushed the the survivor nearest her, whose arm was bleeding and set to work. She checked him to see if his arm was broken, and to make sure there was no shrapnel in his arm. She then ripped a strip of cloth off his shirt and tied the wound instructing him on how to stop the bleeding.

Cameron stood up and glanced around the beach. Further down there was a young man...who seemed to have a head injury. It was almost as if Cameron went into overdrive as she sprinted down the beach towards the woman.

Kneeling in front of her Cameron checked for a pulse.

"Can you hear me?" Cameron asked. "I'm a doctor...can you hear me?"

Arabella wasn't sure what the hell had happened. One minute she was wandering the forests of Florin, the next she was trudging through the hot sand on an unknown beach. It couldn't possibly be a hallucination, could it? True, she often had daydreams and fantasies about finding her father and killing him, but this... this was absurd.

And just when she thought things couldn't get any worse, a thunderous commotion from above caught her attention, and as she inclined her head to try and find the source of the noise, the young woman's jaw had dropped at the sight her eyes had rested on. It was some massive bird-like creature, but it resembled no bird she had ever seen. This creature, whatever it was, was making an awful raucus, and was... breaking apart as it descended to the earth?

Strange. So very strange.

Arabella had drawn her sword for protection (in case the bird-thing attacked?) and had been in the process of turning around to seek shelter in the jungle, when something collided with her head, succeeding in knocking her unconcious.

Her lonely adventure in the black nothingness was interrupted some time later by the sound of a woman's voice.

"Can you hear me? I'm a doctor...can you hear me?"

Arabella opened bleary brown eyes and tried to focus on the owner of that voice. The stranger didn't look like any doctor she'd ever seen. It was difficult to think past the throbbing of her head, however, so it was entirely possible that she was only imagining such strangeness.

Her fist clenched about the sword still in her grasp before she managed an answer. "Yes, I hear you." It was a huge accomplishment that she could even speak, despite the apparent grogginess in her tone.

Cameron noticed the sword and her eyes widened slightly, but what was more important right now was helping this woman.

Cameron whipped off her coat and rolled it up, gently lying the woman onto her back, and using the rolled up coat to support her neck.

"My name is Dr. Cameron," Cameron said, leaning over the woman and looking at her head injury.

She'd have the keep the woman talking if she wanted her to stay conscious. This would be so much easier if she had a nurse or aid.

"What is your name?" Cameron asked, using her hand to wipe blood off Arabella's forehead.

[ooc: Assuming of course she's bleeding XD]

[she is now XDDDD]

The twenty-two year old groaned in protest when Cameron moved her, but didn't have the energy to curse at the woman. After all, she reminded herself, she's only trying to help.

"Ara--Arabella," she mumbled, squinting her eyes against the bright sunlight.

[Hahaha yaaay! Also, now I'm conflicted between three people for Mei Ling, pfft. So not cool. I must find someone to play Ben for us!]

"Arabella," Cameron repeated, leaning foreword and gently pulling Arabella's right eye open, to check for alertness.

"Do you know what happened?"

It was a stupid question, really. But Cameron wasn't worried about that. What she was worried about was keeping Arabella awake, and trying to fix up the wound on her head. With no medical supplies Cameron wasn't sure exactly what she was going to do. Actually she wasn't sure what she was going to do about anything...the reality of the crash was yet to sink in, since as soon as she opened her eyes on the beach she went into full fledged doctor mode.

She glanced up at the other survivors, looking around widely for someone who might be able to help.

[*snort* yay for bleeding arabella. XDDD ohnoez. yes, you must find us a ben!]

Arabella tried to pull away from the contact, but it hurt too much to move. All she wanted to do was sleep; she was so very tired, and her head was pounding.

The young woman inhaled, clinging almost desperately to the hilt of her sword. She wet her lips. "Something hit me. Dunno what." Arabella cleared her throat, trying to make her voice sound stronger.

[Taking your advice and going with teh Lucy Liu XD I can save Zhang for something else XD Yuuuus, I must D: Also if it's not obvious I'm making up Cam's med stuff as I go along...I shall reinvent the medical world!]

Cameron nodded moistening her lips, looking around deseperately for someone's attention she could grab. The last thing she wanted was to leave Arabella alone, just in case the other woman slipped into unconsciousness. The sword was also concerning Cameron. She was no expert but she was 99.9% sure that that sort of thing was not allowed as a carry on.

"I need you to stay with me okay," Cameron said softly, hoping someone would come over asking if they could help.

"I need you to move your fingers and toes for me alright? Can you do that?"

[jack's still stuck in the jungle. hope you don't mind if gabby butts in? >_> hah, and woot for reinventing the medical world. XDDD]

So far the only people the blonde had come across weren't hurt enough to need much attention. Those who were more hurt already seemed to have others helping them, which was a good thing. At least there was unity in a disaster like this.

Still Gabrielle was on alert, her blue eyes scanning the immediate area. These people were dressed so strangely. She wished Xena were here. Xena would know what to do.

Sighing, the woman glanced up from giving mouth-to-mouth to an older looking woman, and she caught site of a brunette staring wildly around from time to time, as if searching for assistance. She was kneeling beside someone - a young woman, it looked like - who seemed to be wounded.

After making sure the older lady she was helping would be okay, Gabrielle rose and made her way over to the brunette.

She knelt at her side. "Hi, I'm Gabrielle. Is there anything I can do to help?" With a little sigh of relief, Gabrielle noted that the young injured woman was wearing a style of clothing that at least looked a little familiar to the blonde.

Arabella's brow furrowed, a grimace accompanying this, as she focussed her attention on flexing her fingers and toes. They still worked. Lucky her.

A shadow appeared across her face as a new person approached. This one was blonde, and wasn't as strangely dressed as the first.

[I don't mind at all XD More surprises for Jack and Cam later...poor Jack. He's got a "family" reunion going on here...if Cam can count as family too XD]

Cameron glanced up at the blonde woman, and gave her a strained, although thankful smile.

"I need something to help stop the bleeding," Cameron said. "Fresh water if we have any to clean the wound...and something to stitch it up."

Cameron realized that finding most of these might be near impossible. But asking didn't hurt, right?

She glanced back down at Arabella. "Good!" she couldn't help but smile slightly when she saw the woman's fingers and toes working.

"Can you tell me where you were sitting?" she asked.

[lmao. for serious. XD]

Gabrielle nodded, groping at her side for the pig's bladder she used to keep water in. "This is all the fresh water I have. Will it do? I'm pretty sure ocean water wouldn't be good on a wound." She handed over the bladder. "Um," she glanced around. "I'll see if I can find something to stitch it up with." She rose and scurried off to search through the luggage dropped from the plane.

Arabella winced when the blonde's shadow disappeared from over her face, giving the sun direct aim again. "Sitting?" She repeated, confused by the doctor's question. "Wasn't sitting. Was running."

[I can't wait for to thread them!!]

Cameron nodded, hardly noticing the water came from a pig's bladder. She gently poured the water over Arabella's wound.

"Thank you," Cameron gave Gabrielle a slight nod as the other woman went off to look through the luggage.

"Of course...from the crash," Cameron nodded. "I meant where were you sitting on the plane?"

[*fails*]

The cold water against her wound made the young woman wince again. She tried to focus on her aid's question, but the other woman didn't seem to understand. She'd studied the English language for a few years now. It couldn't possibly be that she was missunderstanding the question herself?

"Plane?" The unfamiliar word didn't ring any bells.

Gabrielle had managed to scrounge up what looked like a sewing kit complete with needle and - strange - various colors of thread. She hoped it would suffice. It seemed strong enough to hold skin together. She made her way back over to the two women. "This was all I could find," said the blonde, indicating the small sewing kit.

[I just want to say we have the best OTPs ever XD]

Cameron's brown furrowed at Arabella's confusion, maybe the girl was concussed or simply in shock.

"It's alright," Cameron reassured her. "You may be in a state of shock."

Cameron was actually surprised she herself wasn't in a state of shock, but for now she wouldn't worry about it. If she needed too she could disappear into the jungle later and have a minor or major 'freak out.'

Hearing Gabrielle's arrival Cameron glanced up and smiled slightly. "Do you think you could stitch her up? I need to see if anyone else needs help."

Cameron glanced down at Arabella and than back to Gabrielle, "I'll come back and check on her later, I think she's in shock - she doesn't seem to remember the plane."

[we SO do XD]

Gabrielle nodded. "Yeah. Sure." She opened the plastic sewing kit and fumbled with the spools of thread. Her eyes flickered back to the other woman, a questioning look in her eyes. "It's probably the first she's even heard of a plane," Gabrielle said, remembering the Karen woman's explanation of what a plane was. "But you're right; she's probably in shock. I'll keep an eye on her."
