I was looking over old stuff and remembered a panfamdom game I was in ages ago (being old), where the concept was that your character believed they were a character from media and had been put in an asylum for this belief. It ranged anywhere from a guy who had visions of being Frodo in the quest to destroy the One Ring to a girl named Buffy who genuinely thought some people were vampires and she stabbed a kid in her high school. It made for great, weird cross-fandom pairings and interactions, and mental illness wasn't the bad thing to fight -- the punchline was that these things were real, and the asylum was a secret programme rounding up world-hoppers to discover their secrets and convinced their families or the authorities that they were mentally ill.

Would anyone be down for a low-key gpsl with that kind of setting? If so, would it be better over journals or discord? If there's enough interest, I'll set things up. Literally any media -- books, video games, movies/TV, comics, go wild. The hook is how would someone interpret Sam from Supernatural or Lucy from Narnia or Captain America if they came up to a normie in Starbucks to tell them what was happening in their life? That's what the "delusion" looks like. Comment if you're interested, what platform you prefer, and if you have character(s) in mind, just to judge what we'd start with.

(And yes, I've got mental illnesses, I've been in psychiatric care. I wouldn't float this if I hadn't. We're all dealing with PTSD and anxiety from Covid. Why not exorcise the demons whilst we're socially distancing for the holidays?)

It's an older fandom, I know, but I would love to find someone to write Jesse Pinkman against my Jane Margolis (Breaking Bad). Given how things went for her, it would have to be AU, but we can stick with how the rest of the series went post Jane and just work her into things, or go completely off the beaten path. Ideally I would love something post El Camino, but I'm not stuck on it or anything.

Thor for a fix-it line? Post snap, or a re-write of one of Loki's many questionable decisions would be wonderful.
