Blade of the Immortal #2:A man told his daughter not to hate a man whose misfortunate was caused by him. Back to present, the same girl was intruding a place, fighting some men and was captured. She was released instantly for what he desired was her heart. Before the tomb of her father, she was approached by an old nun. The girl wanted to revenge for her father's death. The nun wanted to give her strength of cruelty. On the street, the girl walked on, following a hand-drawn picture of a man the old nun gave her. She went to a hut. Other place, a group of people were gathering. One of a blond lady was intending to get the mass murderer to join them. In the other hut, the girl woke to see the man she had been searching for training outside. He served her burnt breakfast. She begged him to lend her power to avenge for her father's death and to save her kidnapped mother. The man-Manji was careful as he did not know who was really evil as he had killed innocent people because of request by evil people. But Manji was willing to listen to the girl's story.
Flashback, the 14 year old girl-Rin was talking to her mother, wondering when her father was back. She walked out to see her father hurt and he told them to run away. Just then, a group of people entered. They had killed all the students in his dojo who had accepted him as Infinity One's master. 50 years ago, the invader leader's grandfather had killed more bandits than Asano's father but Asano's father won the honor. For that, the invader wanted to kill Asano to get back his pride. The leader walked away and his followers killed Asano in cold blood. The followers passed a sword to Asano's wife, letting her to decide whether to commit suicide. But others wanted to have fun with her and knocked her unconcious. She was stripped bare and humilated by the men. The girl was left untouched because of her age. She cried even though a masked man covered her eyes and ears. Manji was being reminded of his late sister and rejected the girl. He thought for a moment and decided to grant her wish. She followed him happily. The old nun was watching them happily.
Blade of the Immortal #3:The snow was falling as a woman knelt behind a man who turned to slash her in cold blood. In the night air, a pair of couple were chanting a song by the lake. They were there to duel. The girl pulled off her cloak to face her masked enemy who had killed her father. Manji walked behind the girl-Rin, swapping with her to fight the masked man. The masked man-Sabato wanted to kill Rin before her youthful beauty faded. Sabato faced off with Manji. Behind the bushes, a group of people were watching. Manji told Rin to head towards the forest. In the forest, Rin attacked Sabato, distracting him while Manji slashed him.
The masked cut off to reveal two women's heads sewed on his shoulders. One of the women was Rin's mother. He had done it to preserve her beautiful form and also because he could not bear to see her mother being tortured. Rin was more determined to kill Sabato and shot her draggers at him despite Manji's warning. He pinned Manji with his sword and confronted Rin. He planned to remove one of the woman's head to replace with that of Rin's before he was to end his life. He gave her a dagger to commit suicide but Manji stabbed him instead. Manji's stab cured at surprising speed. The hidden people finally understood. Sabato was aggravated and they fought again. Manji thought of his dead sister as he fought him. Sabato attacked Rin but Manji stabbed him on his back before he did. Sabato fell on his knees. Manji brought down his sword at him.
In other place, two men were discussing of Manji's strength. They had the intention to invite Manji to their side. Other place, Rin buried her mother's head in the earth. Rin had almost committed suicide at that earlier time because she had thought Manji was dead. Manji encouraged her to work hard to check out the man-Anotsu who brought down her sect. Other place, Anotsu was talking with a beard man-Habaki. Flashback, young Anotsu told Sabato about setting a new sect even if using evil beings. Present time, Anotsu received a bad news.
Blade of the Immortal #4:By the candle light, a group of men were admiring a painting of a girl when a man came killing them for the foreign painting. In the street, Manji and Rin were having tea while discussing about Sabato and his evil clan. Rin wanted to be Manji's helper. In a room, a man pointed his katana at a painting and smashed paint over it until his daughter told him off and showed him a guest. He recognised her as his daughter's friend. The man was an artist-Tatsu. Rin told Tatsu of her father's death. Tatsu knew Anotsu-Rin's enemy was a young genius swordsman and warned Rin of her dream to revenge. Someone was watching Rin and Manji from the rooftop. Manji knew. Rin left for a short while to see Tatsu in his room. She acted as his painting model. She asked a favour from him. She wanted to borrow his sword. He told her that he had killed many fellow artists to gain his desire for foreign paintings so he couldn't lend her his sword. Manji blurted out at him and walked away. At night, Manji watched the house from a high building. In dreams, Rin heard her late mother's voice and then her father's. She woke to see a man watching her. She leaped from him but he pinned her clothes to the wall with his spear. Manji pulled him through the paper wall. The man backed towards his followers, apparently, he was thinking of pleasing Sabato's men. Manji faced off with the man and his men. Tatsu's daughter heard fighting noise while Tatsu was still worrying over his painting colour. Just then, blood of an enemy splashed into the room, onto Tatsu's painting and he was delighted with the effect. Outside, the men pinned Manji to a tree and he saw Rin clutching a katana to save Manji. The man broke Rin's sword as he aimed his spear at her but Tatsu killed him before he did. Anotsu meanwhile was displeased at his men for not following the rule of one-to-one duelling. A new man-Makoto went to greet Anotsu. In the hut, Tatsu marvelled over Manji's determination to protect Rin eventhough he was not related to Asano. Tatsu showed his client the destroyed painting and promised to pay for the damage. Tatsu smirked at the growling Manji. Manji and Rin bidded Tatsu and his daughter farewell as they left.
Blade of the Immortal #5:A troop of soldiers were passing by as a boy and a girl watched. The leader of the troop killed the girl. A man woke up in cold sweat besides a woman. Next day, he told her that he was quitting his job. He kept watching a child's ball in his hand. She told him that she hoped to be married after she left the brothel two years later. In a shop, Rin was asking for duplication of some weapons for Manji when she caught sight of a katana rested against the wall. It was a western sword. Outside, a masked man-Magatsu glared at Rin for she was looking at his sword. He collected his sword and left. Rin ran after him and begged him to sell her his sword. He asked her about Asano dojo and he claimed Asano's daughter had killed some of his followers. Hence, he needed that sword to find that girl (happened to be Rin). Back to hut, Manji told Rin off for trying to buy the sword. Rin told him that the sword belonged to her father's dojo. She decided to give up the sword. She hated the people responsible for her parents' death, but she knew her limit. In the forest, two men were carrying Magatsu and attempted to kill him in his carriage. But they were killed instead after learning the person mastermind was Akagi. He returned to the sect in time to see a beard man walking off. He went to see Anotsu to bid farewell. He asked Anotsu about Akagi. In a room, Manji saw Rin falling asleep and knew her determination to seek revenge. He walked out to meet Magatsu, who was already aware of Rin's identity, for a duel. They fought. Magatsu could spilt his sword into two daggers. Magatsu hated samurai because his younger sister was killed by one samurai years ago. As he walked off, Manji stabbed him. Wounded, Magatsu gave Manji his sword casing with his blade as he walked away. Rin went to look for Manji to see him asleep in blood. She was touched by his thought for her revenge.
Blade of the Immortal #6:A man made his way from the ground in blood. Other place, a man entered a room to see his woman-Ren at the brothel. Until she was being called. Day time, Rin and Manji were walking in the street and Rin knew Manji was craving for sake and refused him before he stated. A man passed them as a prostitute was being thrown out of a brothel by her husband. The man slapped the man to the ground for humiliating his wife in public. He bidded them farewell and left. In the brothel, the prostitute treated him to a meal. She told him about her useless husband who couldn't earn a living. In the forest, a man and his bodyguards were confronted by a man while in the brothel, the man was shocked to find his wine poisoned. The prostitute who had information about him. She shot him with her crossbow before he attacked and took off her wig. She had long blond hair. In a cupboard, the real prostitute and her client were alive, though bound and gagged. In the forest, the man (the blond woman's helper) was fighting the man and his bodyguards as he killed them. In the yard, the blond assassin-Hyaku met her helper who had faked as her husband a moment ago. In the house, a beard man struck off a name in his list. In the woods, Rin asked Manji to take a rest and they did. In a teahouse, a masked man sat next to Manji while Rin went to restroom. He knew about the man whom Manji and Rin were looking for. Manji pointed his katana at his neck. The man took off his mask. He introduced himself as Eiku. Eiku told Manji about Anotsu and his desire to take him down. Eiku attacked Manji. Manji got up in time to see Eiku dead. Rin returned to see Eiku struggling back to his feet and curing from his wounds like what Manji did. Eiku sat down and told them that the old nun had also made him immortal. He had lived for 200 years and had seen many people died before him. He told him to watch for the night. Rin was shocked to see no self healing of Manji's wound. That night, Manji was in pain as he realised the dagger was poisoned. Blood spurted from his old wounds. Rin wept. He told Rin to find someone else as he collapsed. Rin hugged him in fear and tears.
