"I still don't think it's quite me and Kakashi, if that helps," Ryouma offered. "I mean, he said he wanted to keep having sex with me, which is pretty freakin' unusual for him. But we're not dating or anything. He doesn't--"
I don't love you, he'd whispered, hand clenched around Ryouma's biceps hard enough to hurt. I'm not going anywhere.

"He's insane even when he's not high," Ryouma groaned. "When you make more sense, that's sayin' something. Especially since I agree with Kuromaru, and you suck at lying."
But pushing on that trigger wouldn't get him anywhere right now, and whatever the deep-buried reason was, he wasn't sure he could deal with it. Pushing somewhere else, maybe... He'd made her laugh, and then he'd wasted his chance to ask when she was relaxed and easy. But maybe he'd distracted her enough that he could get an answer.
