Words Without Meaning [Tsume, Ryouma, Kuromaru]
[[Takes place March 25, a few hours after Blindsided, two days after Laugh Like You Really Mean It, and four days after Wild Dog in a Nest of Vipers.]]

Kuromaru plopped himself down in front of Ryouma's door, certain from the scent trail that the apartment was empty. He could have followed the scent trail to find the man, but alphas were allowed to go wherever they wanted, whenever they wanted, and he knew his alpha would come back for him.

Eventually.

In the meantime, he had the hip bone from the Forest of Death hamster he'd killed earlier, and he was content to gnaw on it. It still had bits of meat and tendon hanging off in strings. The rest he'd buried before Tsume could throw it out. Ungrateful woman. He was going to give it to Asuma, and then he was going to give it to Ryouma, but she said he wouldn't want it. Ha. It was delicious.

He had so much to tell Ryouma, too. About Kakashi's bid for dominance and Ibiki making Tsume smell bad and the new girl who fell out of trees and--

--ohhh, this hamster was so good, but he was almost unable to eat another bite. He chewed on a bit of meat listlessly, then finally flopped to one side, content to wait in the hall with one paw over the top of his kill.
