"Well, I'm pleased that you are happy," Penny offered, even her tone was a bit reserved, as though she was still hesitant regarding the whole situation. Of course, that was Penny through and through; while Gen threw herself into something whole-heartedly without reservation, Penny took cautious baby steps. Somehow, it worked for them.
Penny's smile widened as Gen declared each girl's 'prince different'. "I suppose," she laughed. "And I suppose every man could be a prince to someone." It was tentative assertion, but one she would certainly consider, being that she could be quite the hopeless romantic. She paused a moment, taking a few steps to admire their surroundings in the garden. Penny loved the spring with its gentle warmth and bright flowers; it suited her perfectly.
"Gen," Penny suddenly said, turning back toward her twin very solemnly. "Do you think you're in love?" This was, of course, a very serious matter for Penny and she thought that it was a valid question to ask.
