This was true. Thomas didn't know. He shouldn't blame him for anything. Nodding Vaan ran his hands over his face again and through his hair, "My apologies Thomas. Of course." He couldn't help laughing at his friend as he gave him a grin, "It is cliched isn't it, to act foolish in love." Maybe this wasn't so bad, and if things were not the same for Gabrielle they would still be friends, surely.
"Thank you Thomas!" he said, feeling much better about the situation, "You've been a great help. I am going out with Gabrielle tomorrow to gather the herbs I need for my trip. If anything goes awry you shall be the first to know."
Finishing his mug of water he popped a few peanuts into his mouth, "How has business been anyway?" He was always curious to know how things were going, and always eager to know that Thomas was doing well.
