Vaan had been living at the inn for several years now, and he was one of few people that Thomas would consider a true friend. As such- as well as due to the inherent people-reading skills that came with his profession- he liked to think that he could tell when something was off. Maybe not even wrong, per se, just... different.
"I'd asked if you needed anything," Thomas said, sounding concerned, his hands on the bar as he stood across from Vaan.
