"Well, thank you," Rena conceded, though she noticed the slightly uncomfortable way Abby glanced down the ground. She hadn't meant to make the other woman uncomfortable but there was something about the evening that was sort of reflective.
Rena offered a slight smile, shrugging her shoulders slightly. "I don't mean to be melancholy," she said, realizing that Abby didn't seem to quite know what to make of her. "I feel like I'm letting my mind wander to places it shouldn't go. Ever feel that way?" she mused. "I should stop thinking and just go back inside and dance it off." She glanced back toward the pub, where the music could still be heard faintly through the closed door.
