Having heard that Gabby was back in town from her adventures, Penny knew she wanted to get in touch with her but unsure when she would be able to get into town with the bustle of Yuletide, she decided to write her a letter, hoping to get it to her through Julius or Gen, if they could make it into town.
So once breakfast was finished, Penny sat down with a quill and paper.
Dear Gabby,
I heard that you had left town in pursuit of your brother. That was a very brave thing to do and I very much admire that you had the courage to do it. I am sorry you were unable to find him, though, and I can only hope that this letter finds you well. I know it is a small thing but I have missed you in your absence and I am sure others have missed your presence in town, as well. It is my intention to come and visit you again as soon as I am able but I hope that you will accept this Yule gift I made for you in the meantime. I hope you find some joy this season!
Most sincerely yours, Penny Brisbois
Penny waited for the ink to dry before carefully folding the paper and sealing it with a bit of wax. She wrapped the gift in paper and tied it closed with string, tucking the letter under the string. That done, she took the letter down to the stables, hoping to find Julius to deliver the letter.
