While part of her wanted to insist that she would have no reason to discover human pain, Emi had given her word and she would hold herself to that. She knew she shouldn't force her motives- whatever they might be- on this young one. Whatever decision she made, she would come by it in her own time.
"Of course." She nodded, once. Then, looking around, Emi nodded again- they were in as safe a location as she imagined they would find anywhere else nearby. "Close your eyes, Era." And try not to burn me up when you change back, this was added, silently.
Emi stepped back, so as to give Era adequate room, then held her own hands palm-out toward her. Much as she had done before, words were spoken in low tones, the magic flowing through her and seamlessly across to Era.
