He was surprised at her reply, though as Gabrielle continued her words started to make more sense. Owen nodded, once. "Of course, my lady. We can walk together. You are not bothering me," he added, just in case. "And I have no family to speak of." None, at least, that would (or could) come looking for him. His parents were dead, his sister was ill (and not allowed to leave the castle even when she was healthy), and his only other family was- well, the King and Queen. Hardly anyone who could be bothered on a simple errand such as fetching a wayward nephew.
