"That's true. He is a dog and many people have dogs in their homes," Penny agreed. "And of course he doesn't hunt in the house, could you imagine? I think Mother would die!" Penny giggled, grateful that because he had never been trained to hunt, Lucky didn't seem to have the inclination to do so. Occasionally when they were outdoors he would pick up a scent he wished to follow but Penny could easily discourage him; he would do anything for her, after all. "Oh, I adore her, you knew I would!" Penny assured her sister with a grin. "I am so pleased, really and truly!"
The mention of the mishap brought a blush to Penny's cheek not so unexpectedly. "I nearly ran someone over with my horse my last visit to town," Penny admitted sheepishly. She averted her gaze a moment, letting her eyes fall to her lap before lifting them again. "I... nearly ran over a member of the royal family - Princess Evangeline, to be exact. It was so mortifying!"
