Molly simply shrugged her shoulders, back still turned to Rena. "If you want to." She could have told Rena not to worry, that they wouldn't do anything she didn't want to, that they could take their time. But she knew those words wouldn't stop the fear. Instead, Molly tried to show with action what she couldn't with speech.
She flicked her hair over to the side so the sun could warm the nape of her neck. Toes wiggling, she gently splashed at the water, nothing more than a small swish-swish. Just the idea of water, and hopefully not the threat of it. Every sailor and sailing family knew that threat. Water needed to be respected, but that didn't mean it couldn't be loved as well.
Rena could get ready for swimming if she wanted, but she could probably also see that Molly was still in her skirts. She wasn't going to be the one to direct them today. That was going to be Rena...all in her own time. For now, Molly had the sun and the waves and that was all she needed.
