Rena paused, reminded suddenly that she was still holding the teacup and had forgotten she was supposed to be drinking it. She lifted the teacup to her lips, taking a slow sip to consider her thoughts. She agreed with everything that Abby had said about Bridget, of course, but her thoughts were moving forward, from the past to the future. She set the cup down, regarding Abby.
"Have you told her about the baby yet?" she asked carefully. She wasn't sure how Abby and Thomas were handling things and she knew Abby had been worried to talk about it with her but Bridget might have been another thing entirely. In truth, Rena was curious how the girl would handle such a thing and even though she fully accepted her to welcome the change, given her personality, Bridget had always been the one and only child in the pub.
