Ismenia nodded politely, having heard as much since the woman arrived but she could see how this would influence Eleanore's decision to travel abroad. "That is a bold course for a woman to take," Ismenia observed, her tone neutral though she respected the woman's decision all the same. There weren't many opportunities for women to make their way in the world and traveling alone was certainly no small thing. "Is it your intention to become an ambassador yourself, then?"
Whatever impression she had initially had, Ismenia had to take into account the Eleanore was no typical woman by the standards of this court, in any case. With the respect she had for her, though, came a measure of wariness. While Ismenia had little patience for the wilting flower variety of court Lady, she made it her business to know which had the intelligence or the drive to become major court players.
