It didn't occur to her until well past dark to wonder why Marvel wanted off the train -- or why it wouldn't bother him if he got stuck here. She would be bothered if she got stuck here; she actually wanted to go home, and the train was her only chance of that.

Well, no matter. If he didn't want to go back in when she did, then ... he could network someone else to go get him. Professor Dorny probably would, or her gran. They seemed to handle a lot of what went on on the train.

After having a somewhat restful night in her incredibly lonely room, Lily headed out to have breakfast before packing a bag of food. She had no idea how long they were going to be out, or what was worth eating out there. Once she'd finished up with that, she headed to the observation car to see if Marvel was there, or if she was going to have to wait for him.
