Hi, Kirk -

Thanks so much for sharing your email. I really appreciate the thought. I'm Grace, by the way - Grace Carter, farmer/foster mother at Robin Road Farm. Like most people around here, I'm also a mutant. A high level empath, specifically.

We'll have a new child joining us in a few days. Clara is twelve years old, and she turns into a grizzly bear when she's upset, whether she wants to or not. She's presently got almost no control over her ability at all. While I have plenty of experience working with children who have to learn control, I've found that it helps for them to be able to talk to someone "like them" - someone who's had the same struggles.

None of my older kids at the moment are animal shapeshifters, so I'm doing a bit of looking outside to see if there's anyone who might be willing to talk with her some.

So...would you be interested in a bit of volunteer work?
