Everyone doing okay so far?

UM. Do you think our pets back in the compound will be okay? We just got Coco. I feel bad about leaving her like this, but I know I didn't really have a choice.

My first room, it's exciting, I'm excited. I would say "What the shock" but I think that's kind of pointless now.

And I have guns and a machete now that I didn't have before. Is that a common thing?

So you're telling me I get dropped in some village in the middle of a jungle and someone's replaced my weapon with a knife?

Yeah, sounds about right.

Name's Qrow. Don't guess there's a group of teenagers running around here? One's got a whole lot of blonde hair and a prosthetic arm, another's got shortish dark hair and acts like she's drained a whole pot of coffee, and I'm gonna do whoever's reading this a favor and not describe all eight of them.

This is what boredom creates since I can't do much else here.

okay soooOOoooOOooo what animal is everyone picking? and what's with the music?

Someone mentioned a singalong, which I think is a marvelous idea. Are there other musicians here? I would love to meet other musicians, professional or otherwise. Really, anyone who has an enthusiasm for and appreciation of music, and I'm sure you're out there. We seem to have quite a lot of time on our hands, so why not use those hands to make a joyful noise?

Insomnia's a bitch. More so when you share a room with people and the last thing you want to do is keep them up so you end up watching the sunrise while keeping the fire burning at the fire pit.

Christ, I haven't had it this bad in a while.

I was glad to be a representative of the yellow team while I could. Good luck to everyone else still competing!

Those bed pod things are weird.

So, this is what winning feels like? I mean, we haven't really won, but this is the closest I've come in a long while and I'll take what we can, right?

Ganbatte to everyone competing in Survivor! It feels kind of nice to be doing something like this with other team members. I'm not used to it.

So, like, does everyone just get to wander around here?

Like, anywhere they want?

I was really beginning to think that I was out of new experiences, but this is the first time I've ever been kidnapped while being held hostage.

Well, the second time, if you count that incident at the embassy in Qatar. But that was largely a misunderstanding.

I don't know what my job as leader really means or what my responsibilities are meant to be -- but I just wanted to say that I do think it's the responsibility of our block to do what we can to support the folks who volunteered for this "Survivor" competition.

So - Holtz, Finn, Renee, Yuuri & Archex? If there is anything that any of you need, please look to the rest of your block for help.

Otherwise, I know that I've talked to a few of you, but I'd like to get a better idea of everyone's strengths, talents, weaknesses, hobbies, and what they like and don't like. I want to make sure we do our best to unite and support each other - and I think a big part of that means breaking the ice and learning about the kind of people all of us are.

So I'll start. My name is Poe, I'm a mechanic and a pilot. Both my parents were pilots, too. It runs in the family.

Back home, I'm second-in-command to an organisation that is fighting against the current government in our galaxy because we feel like that government infringes on the rights and freedoms of citizens of the galaxy. So I've got some leadership experiences.

I'm up for answering any questions people have about me, too.

Oh, man! There are some snacks I really miss! Which, to be fair, is really like all snacks, I'm pretty predictable! :)))

So now I want to hear about your favorites! Especially if we're not from the same universe, or, similar ones. Which is crazy! But even if we are, I still want to hear about it.

I'll start. I have a wide range of snack preferences but I will probably have to give the temporary edge to Sour Patch Kids. The blue raspberry ones. And Peeps--the pumpkins or the bunnies.

It is interesting that whoever has chosen to keep us here allowed such amenities as an art studio. But I am wary of experimental settings that appear to have good features on the surface.

Bodega Cat has wares if you have coin. And only coin. Scritches, no matter how expertly administered, are not a valid form of currency. I'm definitely going to need some more money.

The pet store is my new favorite place in the universe.

I got a pet and I don't think I've ever been so happy. Don't be too concerned if you see a growlithe puppy wandering around block one. I promise I'll be close behind.

In case anyone hasn't seen it yet - There's a pet store here.  Looking at adorable animals is a very nice change from horrifying pasts, scary futures and knife fights the general craziness of all of this.
