SWF seeks reluctant husband
Hi! It's Aurora. When I applied for Astoria, it was part of a joint application: at one point Daphne was going to arrange a marriage for her against her wishes. The idea was to develop her character and change her for the better (or at least less obnoxious) in the process.

Unfortunately, the app for her intended fell through, and I'm wondering if any of you lovely people would like to toss your characters into an arranged marriage. I offer sanity as a player, amusement, active RPing, and a character who can act as a foil to yours. Please let me know! I'd really like a chance to give Astoria a bit more depth than what she's been able to show so far.

I would love to help fill in! But, the best I can offer ATM is Kevin Emotional-as-a-boulder Entwhistle and he's muggleborn.

Although...!

I'll be applying Zacharias Smith this weekend, hopefully. It's in the works, at the very least. And while he's still kind of a snot, maybe it'd be partly reverse psychology in that case as far as changing Astoria for the better? A bit of clashing might actually be good for both of them, then. ;D I'm picturing him as a pureblood with some celebrity status from broom racing to boot.

I think you know what sort of character would work with her, so I just thought to toss those two out in case anything might click. :)

	Oooh, both have great potential. Astoria could pull emotion out of a rock (even if it's immense irritation), but the muggleborn thing is a bit more of an obstacle. I'd love to see your take on Zacharias. Maybe we can discuss how those two characters would work? I'd like you to get something out of it as well. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Yeah, that being why I skipped around Kevin mostly. He'd be an excellent way to have her family up in torches, maybe, but I thought that might be a different sort of plot altogether.

We sure can! I'm going to crack down on his application as much as I can today, so I should have something substantial to share. As it goes, I'm all for insta-plot (especially with a new character), so I'd definitely get something out of it -- not to worry. :) We'll have to chat!

Well, Adrian's parents ARE very rich Purebloods and he IS making fun of Miles for getting stuck in an arranged marriage. Though, his parents have pretty much given up on him and they focus on his older brother Acanthus. And Adrian is SO not into commitment. So while it'd probably be fun to see it TRY to happen, he'd never ever go through with it.

That said, I don't think any of my other characters would work. hehe
