METHODS There are some useful ways to roleplay and to use these journals. All of these require that you friend the asylums, (enduring_veilrp), (enduring_ooc), (enduring_veil) as well as everyone who joins it. I will be posting "Friend all" buttons as we gain more characters. Third Person Interactions. The most important type of case, the interactions between characters take place in the (enduring_veilrp). In order to use this, you have to have been accepted and join the asylum. Then, to make the post, you must "Post to" this asylum. This is how the initial post of the roleplay should be set up (feel free to add individual style, as long as the idea remains the same): Who: Which characters will be in this one? If you have someone specific in mind, put them (ex-Who: Saiyrus and Seth). If it is a general open thread, just use "Who: Saiyrus and ?", or something along those lines. What: Generally explain what the thread will be about. Are they getting romantic, are they fighting, are they hunting? Where: Where is this interaction taking place? Examples include in the forest (near town, far from town, near the river, etc), in town (at the local coffee shop, at a restaurant, in a book store, etc), in someone's home or apartment, and anything else you can think of around Sabin. When: Give a general idea of when things are happening. We don't need a "2:13pm", but feel free if you want put that. Afternoon, Evening, Midnight, etc, also work. The when should somewhat follow the previous thread. If someone before you posts at night, and you want morning, feel free to still post, just make sure you know which event occur first in the timeline of things. Rating: Let people know ahead of time what sort of rating the thread will deserve. Is it naughty NC-17 or R? Post a warning. If things change, you can always edit the post to show so. After this, in your post, an lj-cut should be used to contain the rest of the thread. Simply use the following code, but remove the spaces around the brackets. "< lj-cut text="whatever you want it to say" > REST OF THE JOURNAL ENTRY < /lj-cut > Letters and EMAIL and Phone calls. Sometimes, in this technological age, it isn't uncommon to use the mailing system or technology to communicate. If you choose to do this, make sure to post it to your own journal, and your friends will be able to go to their friends page to see these entries. There are no real restrictions for how these should be set up. Generally, you should let us know what sort of first person communication it is. Either in the subject or the actual post. You can use an lj-cut to clean it up if you'd like. Use quotations for phone calls to make it more dialog-ish. Letters could use headings, and "sincerely"'s. Out of Character posts. If you want to introduce yourself or simply post something random and not game-related, feel free to post it to the (enduring_ooc) asylum. Just make sure nothing offensive leaks into this asylum! Okay, that's it. Go have fun and make sure to apply as soon as you can! |
