Empire Ants

Turns out, some of the icons I made that are just micro-movements apart from one another don't actually look different at such a small size... and I may have potentially forgotten to prune a few screencaps that were very similar. But I do not have the mental energy required to prune and re-save the set, so just pretend it isn't slightly redundant in places.

No colour correction attempts - just a bit of toying around with shades and vibrancy of colours - went into this, because that would defeat the entire purpose of the aesthetic. Also, caps used are from the lovely capseroo whose image sets are an absolute dream to work with. Check 'em out, mkay?

It took me a ridiculously long time - over a year, in fact, after the absolutely lovely capseroo fulfilled my request - to make these icons, but finally they're here! Back when I watched this movie, I could have sworn Vivian was a ginger, which I guess is just a testament to the terrible calibration of the television I used back then.

This set includes a small number of icons with glowy werewolf eyes and a white wolf. And like one single icon featuring a tattoo.

Full disclosure: I'm not entirely happy with the outcome of this iconning adventure. I've been in a really crappy headspace - as most of us have, thanks to the current state of the world - and I think I've halfway un-learned how to properly edit icons. Add that to the fact I'm a big dummy who tried to edit over a thousand icons in one .psd using a 32-bit version of Photoshop, and... yeah. It was a bit of a tedious project that I didn't even realize I was making more tedious than necessary until I was on the final stretch of like forty icons and by then there was no point adjusting the workflow. Oops?

Interestingly, they're also the first third I made because I work backward through each set when applying corrections to icons.

For truebornstark - and, of course, anyone else who wants to use them. Sorry this took so long! I must have redone the colouring and lighting on some of these enough times to count as doing the entire three parts of this set twice, and I'm still not entirely happy with how greenish or pinkish a few are. (Seriously, though, if this show gave names to the seasons, I'd nominate Maria DeLuca Avoids The Light for S1.)
