Hayate ran toward Himeno. He knew she'd probably react with a punch that he was starting to find a...tradition, in some sense of the word.

Allowing one's self to be quite literally knocked off one's feet for a romantic interest is a rather unorthodox method of professing one's affection for someone else, but Hayate did know he probably couldn't get his act together easily enough to express it otherwise. And besides the point, anything was well worth knowing she was safe.

He slowed when he saw the pink flipped hair amid the sea of blondes--Tulip Head, the Pretear he had found on his own. The wind swept the glittering packed dirt and cobblestone road lined in leafe-less flowers, trees and grass. "Himeno!"

As he neared the Pretear, he didn't quite smile, but instead said, "I'm glad you are safe."
