NARRATIVE: Harry + Ron

[info]aknightlyweasel
Who: Harry Potter and Ron Weasley
When: after work Thursday
Where: the flat in Diagon Alley
Rating: pending
Status: in progress
Summary: A guy's gotta bond with his best friend.

The days only seemed to get longer, but Ron was finally feeling in his element. All the things he'd thought he'd already known, suddenly he knew better than he ever had. And so slouching across Diagon Alley to the flat beside the stationary shop, Ron felt a quiet sense of satisfaction. He did not feel as surprised as he once did, but it was a pleasant feeling nonetheless.

He waved his wand and unlocked the door, already swinging his rucksack off his shoulder. "Harry?" he called out, dropping the bag to the floor. He looked about and couldn't tell if his roommate had been home. Oh well, he thought, and he went into the kitchen to fix himself a sandwich. Maybe he could talk Harry into going out somewhere.

NARRATIVE: Hermione + Ron

[info]aknightlyweasel
Who: Hermione and Ron
When: 6 May, morning
Where: Hermione's secret hide-out
Rating: PG
What: Ron is hard at work on his two best skills: stressing silly things and being nervous about Hermione.
Status: COMPLETE

He Apparated a bit shoddily and immediately rubbed his arm warily. Not such a great idea when he was flustered, he should have learned. But he hurried on anyway, too nervous that she would have read that loony letter in that bloody journal. He never should have gotten her that. But it had been late. Too late for her, right? Too late for him obviously, if he'd written that rubbish.

Ron reached the door and knocked with a shaking hand. He cleared his throat and took a deep breath. She hadn't read it, of course. And he did want to see her. This visit was perfectly serious and honest. Oh bloody hell, he thought, and without another thought, he turned the knob and went inside. "Hermione?" he called tentatively. "Morning!"

NARRATIVE: George + Ron

[info]aknightlyweasel
Who: a coupla Weasley boys raising the usual hell (Ron and George)
When: Wednesday 30 April
Where: the WWW
Rating: PG-13 (hey, boys swear)
Status: In progress
Summary: Ron is an awful brother. But he's trying, folks, he's trying. (Plot, plot, plot...)

Ministry life was turning out to be just as dull as Ron had worried, but Harry kept telling him it would be worthwhile. And some days, like today, it even seemed like it. He hadn't been completely abysmal, and it even seemed like they thought he did well. His step picked up at the thought of the half-hearted praise he'd received over his Tracking exam, and he trotted out into Diagon Alley with satisfaction.

A small feeling of guilt crossed him when he considered the fact that he had not been to see George in some time. One would think that living so close to where George spent nearly all his time would lead to more visits. It had not felt strange to him before, but now Ron shrugged to himself, glad to be on his way now. The colors of dusk were falling tiredly over the Alley as Ron reached the shop doors. He twisted the knob, found the door unlocked, and stepped inside. "Oi, prat, you gonna come say hello to your favorite brother?"
