James,

How are you doing? How is your little sister and your Gram? I'm sorry I had to leave so quickly the next day; Quidditch... the love that never sleeps.

I was hoping to have heard from you by now, so, my apologies if this letter comes off a bit paranoid. I was afraid something might have happened or that you- but all the channels seem clear so I'll assume the best.

I umm What are your plans now that your sister's home? Do you think she would like to see a Quidditch match in Ireland? I know things are not easy for you and your family right now but Ireland has a scrimmage coming up and I thought you might enjoy a holiday. Let me know. Secure transportation could be worked out for you and your family.

Anyway, I have to get going. Practice starts in a half hour and I still need to eat brekkie.

You can send a reply with this owl. My brother gave her to me as a gift for making the starting team for Ireland. Oh yeah! Which, by the way. Guess what James? I made the starting team! I must have had a great Capitan in my early days. What do you think I should name her? I was thinking about Sticks, since she's small thin and you're the first person she's brought post to. Like it?

Well, really have to go now! Can't wait to hear from you.

We are all well. Thank you again for everything you've done for us. I am sorry for the prolonged silence. Everything is fine.

Thank you for thinking of us, but I don't think any public ventures are wise right now. I just wouldn't feel safe.

I'm glad to hear you're alright. As for the Quidditch, I didn't think you'd say yes, but the gesture was there none-the-same. Though I must admit it was more to see you again than it was to entertain your sister. I want would like to see you again when you can.

I'll keep safe as long as you do.

I don't want to lead you on. You're one of my best friends and you mean so much to me, but I just don't think it would be unwise for us to make frequent contact. If anything happened to you I wouldn't be able to protect myself or you or Emilie. I'm sorry. You must hate me. I deserve it

James,

You're plenty smart. And you have people who care about you. Nothing is going to happen to you so long as you keep your head about you and you're careful, which doesn't mean that you can go hiding away for months on end. It's not healthy and it's no way to live. And if you're worried about me or my family, that's rubbish. Kind, but rubbish. We have our own secrets to hide and trust me, if the Ministry ever came calling you'd be the least of our worries so... in case you were planning on making that your next excuse, I'm way ahead of you.

Now. If I'm one of your best friends and after my last visit I would have thought more then it follows we should hang out and do best-friend things. I want to see you and I think you know why.

Ball's in your hands, Crotchup. I hope you pass it back.
