Babette,

I know Uncle John has owled you concerning the current situation and given you the information. I'm sorry it has come to this, but you do not know how vastly relieved I was to hear that you agreed. She will be safe. Between the location in Scotland and the new location in England, we have two strongholds and the additional magic of at least four free wizards and witches to ward and protect the locations. Gram and Uncle John are looking into means of making both unplottable and we are looking into a secret keeper.

Katie Bell is the name of my friend, if Uncle John has not informed you. I'm attaching her photograph so you will recognise her, but please ask her how she plans to keep Emilie in line if she starts to truely misbehave. My The real Katie will give you Grumps' favorite line for Emilie and I growing up. He had a metaphor for everyone and everything, didn't he? And of course, all were ship related.

I will owl you the moment she arrives, but other than initial owls, I'd like to keep writing to a minimum - just for the start. When things have settled, we will renew communication.

Thank you for all you've done for me. I will not let you down. Please tell Emilie to be kind to Katie and that I love her.
