Owl to Padma Patil

Padma

Miss Patil,

Thank you for your attendance at my late father's funeral. I appreciate it, more than words can express. You were the only one I fear this letter is becoming quite a downer with all this speak of funerals. I will have to switch subjects now or it will never be saved.

I hope you and yours are doing well. I was wondering if you remembered, perchance, that I had asked for some assistance in regards to an upcoming party of mine. If you are still willing to led your help I would be more than happy to arrange a time for us to meet this week. My house, of course, is always open or if you would feel more comfortable in a public setting perhaps you would be so kind as to introduce me to your favorite eatery. Either way I am more than willing to meet at any time.

Theodore Nott

P.S. Feel free to bring any of your heels, I wouldn't want you to be inconvenienced by any of them. I would just teach you the spell, but then I would have to kill you. Muggle joke, I couldn't resist. I'm afraid my sense of humor will get me in trouble in the near future, if it has not already.

Mr. Nott Theo
Theodore,

I was glad to be there for you though I didn't really do anything for you. Of course I remember your proposition and I would enjoy getting together over lunch, or dinner. Dinner might be better - my lunches are usually rather short and rushed. I do happen to know a nice place not too far from the Ministry - and this may be rather ironic, but it's got the best curry in the city (other than my Nam's.) It's called The Maharaja (hah!) and if you'd just like to meet me at the public entrance of the Ministry - the phone booth, do you know it? - we can walk there. You would probably get lost if I tried to give you directions, through no fault of your own. I'm terrible with directions.

Sorry this is short and rambly - I'm skivving off paperwork to reply and I should get back to it. I've had to pick up some slack at the office because Pansy is a lazy sow.

Is tomorrow too soon? Or Saturday?

Ms. Patil,

Tomorrow, or rather today would be fine. If not today, I am also free tomorrow as well. It seems my social calendar has suffered greatly during my recent move, which leaves me with plenty of time to accommodate your schedule. Anyhow, I would be more than willing to meet you at the public entrance to the Ministry whenever you are finished with work. Speaking of work, I hope I have not distracted you too much from yours.

Theodore,

Would you like to meet me outside the Ministry in about an hour? I'll be waiting outside at six p.m. on the dot, if so. If not, tomorrow for lunch? Let me know (and at this point I would gladly take any distractions. I'm so glad for only a half day or work tomorrow.)
