All of the events leading up to the opening of the game.


May 2, 1998
Defeat of Voldemort by Harry Potter.

June 1998
Kingsley Shacklebolt, the temporary Minister of Magic, announces free election for the position of Minister of Magic, open to all non-incarcerated magical citizens of the United Kingdom in hopes of creating greater unity among the citizens.
*Pansy Parkinson disappears from the public eye.

August 1998
Gawain Robards, Head of Auror Corps, is elected Minister of Magic. He is charismatic and well liked by a 80% majority of the population.
*George Weasley releases a load of fireworks from WWW voicing his opinion against Gawain robards as MoM and is fined a small fortune by the Ministry.


1999
February 1999
The Magical Britain Rebuilding bill puts Muggle/Wizard relations to a temporary halt, only Ministry sanctioned traveling and imports and exports are allowed - this includes the exchange of currency at Gringott's. Plans to reopen the Wizarding world to Muggle contact are set for early 2000.
*Padma Patil returns from Marseilles because of the holds on travel; secures a job as Junior Secretary at the Ministry of Magic.
*Katie Bell moves from her flat in Ireland back to Holyhead in accordance with her brother's wishes.

Late April 1999
The Ministry of Magic announces a delay in the restorations of Muggle/Wizard relations. The date has been moved from early 2000 to late spring 2000.

May 2, 1999
Diagon Alley is attacked in what Muggle Studies experts call a 'bombing' - likening it to a Muggle attack of terrorism.

Summer 1999
Skirmishes are reported across the United Kingdom, many cases involved Muggleborn and Half-Blood attacks on Purebloods [according to the Daily Prophet.]
*Pansy Parkinson begins making public appearances once again.

June 20, 1999
Gringott's Wizarding Bank is bombed.

August 31, 1999
The Ministry of Magic is bombed. The Minister was thankfully safe in a meeting with the French government in Paris.

September 1, 1999
The Wizengamot grants Minister Robards emergency powers.

October 1999
Minister Robards encourages all citizens, of all Blood Statuses, to register with the Ministry and answer a questionnaire concerning their blood status, loyalties and whereabouts on the dates of the bombings. Very few people complete the questionnaires.

November 5, 1999
The Minister, using his emergency allocated power, instates the Law for the Protection of Magical Blood and Honor (LPMBH). All citizens are required to register their blood status by law. Muggleborns and Half-Bloods are placed under further inquiry and put on governmental watch. Anyone refusing to registers will be arrested by the Ministry of Magic. A one month period is allotted before arrests begin.

*Lisa Turpin registers on November 5, 1999.
*Pansy Parkinson registers on November 5, 1999.
*Susan Bones registers and receives the mark of eminor macula on November 6, 1999.
*Penelope Clearwater registers immediately.
*Daphne and Astoria Greengrass register in a timely fashion.
*Draco Malfoy registers within the first week of registration.
*Morag MacDougal registers on November 10, 1999.
*Harry Potter registers and receives the mark of eminor macula before the end of the month.
*Hermione Granger goes into hiding before the end of the month.
*Ron Weasley registers before the end of the month.
*Andromeda Tonks registers before the end of the month, but does not register baby Teddy.
*Katie Bell, Angelina Johnson and Ginny Weasley register before the end of the month due to Quidditch regulations.
*Lavender Brown registers before the end of the month.
*Hannah Abbott registers before the end of the month.
*Minerva McGonagall refuses to register and goes into hiding.

December 4, 1999
*Lisa Turpin is blackmailed into her engagement.

December 5, 1999
Arrests begin. Those who refuse to register their blood status are stripped of all titles, property, and marked as a threat to the Ministry. All those arrested must serve a ten day sentence in Azkaban prison and are thereafter released on a one year probationary period. The Daily Prophet begins running a list of WANTED witches and wizards, as well as a list of all recent arrests, on the front page.
*Oliver Wood is arrested on December 6, 1999. He receives the mark of eminor macula and sent to Azkaban for ten days, after which he goes into hiding.
*George Weasley registers on December 10, 1999, under threat of arrest only because his mother starts crying at a family dinner.

2000
January 2000
The Minister begins releasing daily words of encouragement in the Daily Prophet. He continues to maintain his stance on the war against magical terror. He promises safety for all the in compliance with the LPMBH and action against those responsible for the attacks on Magical Britain.

February 2000 - March 2000
The Order has been secretly reconvening and holds their first meeting in early January - many members are wanted as traitors for not registering their status. The Ministry begins taxing Muggleborns caught having unsanctioned contact with the outside world, closing unregistered floos and apparation points. Raids are performed routinely in search of illegal Muggle contraband, as any Muggle imports that fall outside the Ministry Import office are illegal.

Some of those who are released 'Ministry Labeled Threats' have taken to selling illegal imports in secret, especially along Knockturn Alley. Stripped of their jobs and property, they are unable to make a living legally.

Late March 2000
The Ministry begins increasing nationwide taxes to fund the war on Anti-Magic Sympathizers.
