With Jead having managed to snag two of the three crystal shards so far, Edgar clearly had to catch up to the other man. With that goal in mind, he'd summoned the undead to do his bidding. Unleashing the bony figure, he'd managed to intimidate a ship captain into lending his ship and crew. Of course, some of the crew weren't quite so agreeable, and they'd been tossed overboard, or converted into undead if it become absolutely necessary as quickly as possible. Though, the Lich - while in the back of Edgar's mind, and lending his powers through Edgar's body - had followed commands beautifully, and brought to life an assortment of monsters on the docks to help cover their tracks - or at the very least slow the likely coming onslaught of hero types - as the boat quickly set sail out of the harbor, and towards the boat that Leviathan had sunk months before it didn't mean that victory was within their grasp quite yet. While no one had ever seemed to investigate the wreckage of the ship that had sunk, the Lich, and Edgar, had never forgotten about it. It was unfortunate that the cargo list hadn't been properly kept for anyone who may have wanted to check it before, and it was a pity that Edgar only had - admittedly somewhat reliable - inklings of what he'd find once they were there, but... Even the possibility of another crystal shard being found was too good to pass up so easily. Getting out the required distance took a little longer than Edgar cared for with hunks of ice in the water, and the lessened active crew, but they would manage, and anchor would be dropped to keep the boat as stable as possible before Edgar unleashed the Lich onto the desk of the ship with fire and anger in his eyes. "Go fetch." A hand jutted towards the water, and instantly the Lich dived in to go retrieve - what Edgar hoped - to be the third crystal shard (the next puzzle piece needed) in this battle for the world. |
