His victim today would cause even more of a fuss than the librarian had some weeks ago. Octavia had been hard to fell, but ultimately, in the end, Jead had won the prize he sought from her. One shard was down, now there were only three more to go, and today, he planned to take Duhl's. Keeping his presence hidden had been hard, but not impossible, and tracking the Riskbreaker down was no easy feat. Yet, for a man of Jead's determination and drive, it was also far from impossible. He'd tracked the Riskbreaker down to the Civic district, carefully tailing the man to assure he wouldn't be seen, but as Duhl turned down an alley Jead found himself with the best opportunity to strike. If he could avoid provoking a mass response from the entire guild in Emillion, the better off they'd be. While Duhl furthered his trek down the ally, a cloaked Jead quickly followed. About halfway down the alley Duhl stopped, not looking back at the man that had followed him but beginning to speak. "You've been following me for a while today. Is there something you want?" And Duhl's hand fell to his katana. "Your shard." Was all Jead would say before unleashing a quickened combination attack to make Duhl shake with Darkga, and then beginning to rend the man's flesh from bone with Unholy Sacrifice as Zalera began to form through a swirl of mist on the other side of the alley blocking Duhl's easy escape. However, the cries of pain released by the Riskbreaker - a recognizable voice in unheard of pain - would not go unnoticed as many of the Civic districts guards instantly put out for alerts and moved in for attack to barrel into a force of Dead Bones that seemed to materialize out of no where to prevent their advance. |
