Ash watched as whatever it was the guy did sent up a wall of flame, and she switched tactics. Immediately, her steps changed as she mimicked his stance and motions. Another wave of fire spread out, covering their enemies and crackling. She nodded to herself and kept an eye on him. If he had other distance attacks, then maybe she wouldn’t be nearly as useless as she had been starting to think she would be. The fire was starting to calm now, and Ash removed her gun. A quick check told her she had three bullets left; three was better than none. She lifted it and waited for movement, one eye in front and one on the guy who’d summoned the fire first. The attention of the mistant that was accosting her was split. There was just so much going on and it'd gotten hit by fire, twice. It wasn't pleased at all. Eden herself had gotten caught in a wave, but she'd jumped back a moment later, already calling the to her aura, invoking the heal once her feet hit the ground. It spread out like a warm wave catching anyone near enough to be engulfed into it. It was a move that left her vulnerable, but the next wave of fire that followed kept her assailant at bay. That didn't stop the adorable creature into ramming her fiercely. "Whoa!" She said as it knocked her off her feet. She knew that it had been attacking Cyrus, but Eden hadn't been prepared for it to come surging forward with renewed energy! Although Eden had caught the hare’s attention, Cyrus could not quite escape the next blow from one of the mistants -- both of whom had converged on him now, clearly responsive to hit taunts. Not necessarily a bad thing, considering he was better equipped to handle these guys than the woman with the gun behind him, whom he’d now noted even as he attempted to block the powerful incoming blows from two angry beasts at once. He felt something in his arm snap, bit back a grunt, refused to fall. An attempt at Mediguard seemed his best option, but it only seemed to work half the time at best, and he couldn’t quite gather the concentration for it when he was so busy blocking. Instead, he opted for Whirlwind, knocking the creatures back with a flurry of blows and granting himself some temporary reprieve. Ash fired off another shot at the things attacking the guy before launching into Polka. If she could keep the damn things from attacking so hard, then maybe Mr Guy would be able to knock them back. Or better yet, off ‘em. Another one was attacking the blonde, and Ash moved towards the center, trying to catch all of the enemies attention. It was a risky thing to do - if they decided to attack, she was kind of fucked - but there wasn’t really any other choice. The rabbit watched her as she moved, but the other creatures really only kept half an eye on her. Fuck. Eden saw that the woman had begun to dance. She remembered her from the benefit performances she'd attended last year. She'd thought the dancing was just for show, but if she was moving like that out here, it only meant that she could also enchant the creatures as well. That was good, but while they were keeping their attention on her, Eden also had to make sure they didn't actually reach her. A glance spared over toward her fellow ranger showed that he was hurting, but still moving. She didn't notice that something had broken. She’d placed herself between the fuzzy creature and the dancer. It was focused and attempted to assault the dancer through her. And it hit her hard. This time, she brought her arms up before her, only to be knocked back into a wall. Her head bounced off the brick and stars filled her eyes, blurred with tears. |
