“Duhl.” Something in the voice from behind him - the one that seemed to have nothing else to say but his name caused the hair on the back of his neck to stand on end. There was something here that wasn’t going to end well. Karras wasn’t sure what it was yet, but… Shifting Duhl turned to find that one Monk who had come in from the outlands, and had been spending a bunch of time hanging around the hall as of late. “It is time.” “Afraid I don’t know what time you’re talking about. Unless you’re talking about how it’s time for me to go home. Then I’d agree.” “For you to give me the shard.” “You’ve heard wrong.” Duhl’s brow furrowed, his jaw jutting out. “You can give it to me, or I can take it.” “I am the Riskbreaker. Not sure how you think that’s going to work.” This guy wasn’t gonna give it up. “Not even the Riskbreaker is immune to the end.” With a growl the Monk’s eyes seemed to change, something twisted, and dangerous behind them as mist suddenly started to creep along the outer edges of the opening that Bahamut Hall stood in. Yet the thing most obvious would be low groans, growls, and moans of monsters summoned by it beginning to fill the area as Chaos materialized before the Riskbreakers very eyes. |
