Founders Ball
Who: Open to everyone!
What: Founders Festival Ball.
When: The final evening of the Festival. (Aries 25th)
Where: Sackheim Inn.
Rating: PG (? - If an interaction starts going above this please mark such in the subject line.)
OOC Notes: This is the last event, on the final night of the Founders Festival. Feel free to have fun but keep in mind there is security present and willing to boot people out of the event!
Just as the Sackheim Inn had been a fabulous event, lusciously decorated, with only the finest food, music, and drink displayed, and available for consumption the year before, the owners had not spared any expense this time around once again. Clearly, in fact, that had tried to top their own reputation for excellence by increase the not only the quantity of things supplied, but also the quality too. The swell, and fall of instrumentals can be heard before even stepping a foot inside the entry way of the Sackheim Inn. Just like the year before all guests are greeted cordially and offered assistance with any external wear upon entry (coats, scarves, shawls, etc) or other gear that may need to be checked for the evening. All visible weaponry is asked to be left at the check in and if it is part of the person's evening wear, the items in question will be peace tied. This of course does not apply for those who have either been hired, or volunteered for security detail. The energy is high, people seem to be able to forget the burdens of the past year tonight with cheerful conversation, exorbitant amounts of very fine food and drink, and the elegant gowns, and suits that have been worn tonight. Those walking through the massive halls are then lead down red carpeted stairs which lead to the main ball room. There's a spark in the air, a mixture of excitement, glee and anticipation as couples and groups ascend down into the ball room. One would be hard pressed to find anyone without some glint of joy in their eyes housed in the building this eve. Regardless of when anyone arrives, the hall is alive and abuzz with activity; if it's the caterers assuring that the plethora of food laid out is perfectly down seemingly endless tables, waiters and waitresses offering drinks of all varieties, entertainers performing or others setting up for their turn in the spotlight, the hall is anything but dull. With the extravagance of the evening, even the walls are draped with finely embroidered mammoth tapestries. The tapestries depict - what experts believe to be - a historical representation of what the original Founders of Emilion’s went through on their quest for the shards. Much of the decor has been imported or specially crafted, specifically for this event. Clearly, no cost has been spared in this instance, after all! This is the Founders Festival and Emillion, nor it's many citizens, would be here if not for them. Seas of people stretch out nearly as far as the eye can see. The space is huge and packed with those housing desire to share part of the high life, get a free bite to eat, or simply to enjoy the lavish atmosphere presented during such an event. Performers dot various spots, taking up as much space as they are allowed with clusters of onlookers surrounding them. There are also tables and chairs available in a 'quieter' section of the hall for those who find socializing in that manner more to their liking, and of course, there is infamous dance floor where the man who holds the final piece of the scavenger hunt cheerily mingles amongst those brave enough to approach. |
