Oh, OUCH. God. Poor Neville -- and poor James, for that matter. This is going to be interesting, seeing how James works out what to do about telling his father. *pauses thoughtfully* I wonder what Ginny's attitude might be? And does Harry know (and acknowledge that he knows) about Neville? Hmmm.
I like the dialogue and am still enjoying Neville's little asides to himself.

"his professor" -- I do like how you keep reminding that this is Not An Appropriate Situation. Because yeah, I feel for both Neville and James, but otoh there are very good reasons why it shouldn't be happening, not just because of James' age but because Neville is his teacher, and there's all sorts of inherent problematic issues in that.
