Remus laughs. That's a myth, he tells Sirius, and his hands are cold because he lost his stupid gloves. No, not cold. Freezing. Remus rubs his hands together, blows on them. It's stupid outside. Windy and half-raining in that particular stupid Londonish way that slices through scarves and skin and straight to the bones of the unfortunate. And Remus, tonight, was unfortunate enough to be stuck in it.

Sirius smirks that particular smirk he uses when he's trying to hide the fact that he's sort of maybe being a bit sweet and he tugs Remus to him and holds Remus's hands in his own and kisses the fingertips.

Warm heart anyway, he half mumbles, and Remus lets out a little huff of a breath and stops himself responding. He should let his fingertips be kissed, he should let himself be loved. He tries not to think about why he finds that so difficult, ever.

You really are fucking bloody freezing, Sirius says, probably you need to get in bed with someone who's quite warm. Sirius unwinds Remus's scarf from his neck and unfastens his cloak, then takes Remus's hands between his own again and kisses his lips and asks, better now?

Remus nods. Sirius's hands are always warm, to say nothing of his heart.
