Percy frowned at the smeary lenses of his spectacles, then took out his pocket-handkerchief and wiped them clean, holding them up to the light to be certain all obstructions had been obliterated.

Harry studied him the entire time.

"You carry a pocket-handkerchief?" he heard himself ask when Percy appeared satisfied with the state of his spectacles.

"I do," replied Percy, "One never knows—"

But whatever Percy was going to say, whatever pontificating he was about to embark upon, Harry didn't want to hear it. He'd just had the best kiss of his life, dammit, and he was sweating and flushed and he wanted more, even if Percy appeared almost unruffled, save for the slight tinge to his cheeks.

And, god, he'd kissed Percy, of all the sodding people—not that he hadn't thought of doing it before, but he'd never expected to actually—and his body was insisting he do it again, and so he did, cutting Percy off mid-sentence and stretching up on his toes because god knew Percy wasn't going to bend down; he was too busy listening to how brilliant he probably thought he was.

So Harry ignored propriety and the fact that he wasn't certain he liked blokes and the fact that Percy was talking and one of them or the other was going to have to swallow all the big words that were about to come tumbling out, and he kissed Percy, hard, and Percy shivered and didn't hesitate, but brought his hand up into Harry's hair and they snogged for a good damned hour, which was maybe more like half a minute, but Harry wished it had lasted even longer.

And when they broke apart, Percy was still clutching that stupid handkerchief in the hand that wasn't touching Harry, and Harry snatched it and threw it to the floor and growled "Just let 'em get smeary" before he kissed Percy again.
