Avoiding the Mistletoe (Percy/Neville, G)
Title: Avoiding the Mistletoe Pairing: Percy/Neville Rating: G Word Count: 189 Warnings: None. Disclaimer: Not mine. JKR's. Summary: Percy and Neville like to keep their private lives private. Notes: An Advent Drabble for inell, who requested Percy/Neville, "mistletoe".
They'd planned everything so carefully.
It wasn't that either of them was ashamed of the other, or of the relationship they shared—they both just preferred to keep their private lives private, and each was glad the other felt that way.
No one would catch them together. They never went anywhere together in public if there was the slightest chance they might be seen—Muggle areas were all right, most of the time, but Wizarding London was strictly off-limits. So they got a flat in Muggle London and they lived their days out as any other couple would, but they spent holidays apart until the year that Ron decided Neville should join everyone at the Burrow for Christmas.
Percy and Neville were cordial around Percy's family, but there was many a stolen look across the breakfast table and there were quick, careful snogs in the overheated laundry room or the freezing broomshed.
No one would catch them together. George charmed a sprig of mistletoe to move about the Burrow, catching couples unawares, but Percy and Neville both followed its movements carefully, though each secretly wished they would be caught.
