Screen caps maks terrible icons, but it was what I had to work with mostly other than some random modeling photos. All originals are taken from her fan site and DJ Capslock on LJ.

I've really let my fellow Asian females down - I haven't done a set on any of them yet and I'm the one who gets annoyed with seeing Lucy Liu/Gong Li/the Crouching Tiger chics being used for every Asian female character. Enough ranting - here is an icon set.

Shin Eun Kyung is a Korean actress, and most of this pics were from the movies "My Wife is a Gangster 1 & 2." She looks the part of a gangster, so that was why I was very disappointed when they replaced her in the third movie.

Note: Thin black border on all. This is a very belated request filling. I tried to go through what Anne had already iconed in another post here, as well as what was already in use for the journal it was for; but comparing those to the myriad of horrible screencaps took forever. So, I just tried to make the best of the god awful caps from the "Ring of the NIfjknionegalknigoeag" or whatever it was called. My only regret is that I had to sit through that movie twice now to get any useful caps... and still, most were crap.

Self-interest... hooo! I use her, and I think she's awesome in the creepy but sophisticated way. This is probably my biggest set, but it's still under 50. I shall remedy this in the future! Please note this set is comprised of images from catwalks, backstage and photoshoots.

Note: Thin black border on all. To me, Veronica is one of the classic beauties. In fact, I consider her very much to be the epitome of beauty. Her look never grows old and constantly influences modern fashion and concepts of beauty. You see it now in the public spectrum in the work of Dita Von Teese, who takes much inspiration from the look this srceen gem had. Christina Aguleria's latest project has admittedly taken inspiration from her as well. Most of these photographs were taken from a single fansite that credits most of them to Paramount Pictures. Lovely, lovely woman.

I like models, which I've said before, which I think has to do with my seeing their photographs as a kind of artwork instead of some malnourished pretty girl posing. I think, at this point, I have cleaned out the internet for decent iconable photographs of her. I have about 90 I had to scrap because they didn't icon well at all.

Note: I love Dita. I have this ridiculous stash of pictures from Dita.net, thanks to knowing someone with a paid membership there.. heh. Expect more as time goes on. I have so much love for this woman, it's insane. I'll probably icon Betty Page and Veronica Lake in the future, since that is a majority of who Dita bases her look on.

Note: Thin black border on all. I first fell in love with Bernadette Peters in High School when I was treated to the sounds of her voice as the Witch in Into the Woods. We were performing that musical that year and I remember thinking, no one can do this woman's voice justice. I still dont' think anyone ever will. I made this monster set because I was going to use her as a Wicked Witch in a community that died before I ever got the application done. Go figure. There are some wonderful icons of her as a blond, which I love as well as two bonus of a young Bernadette at the end. Link to .zip file of all icons at the bottom.
