Elysian Icons

Back with even more icons. Our subject is Mr. Aaron Eckhart, star of wonderful films like Thank You For Smoking and The Dark Knight. He was also, quite sadly, in Paycheck - but you can't hold that against him can you? Anyway, today all of my thanks go to Aaron Eckhart Online. I don't know if it's the only Aaron Eckhart site out there or not, but they had quite a few quality photos and it was nice to find them all in one place for once. So, thanks to them, you have these wonderful icons to enjoy. The thought of doing icons for Aaron Eckhart did not occur to me until the wonderful Q suggested it. What I found was that most communities didn't icon him - and that's usually the subject I like to icon the most. There's something grim about the way he half-smiles. Not Bruce Willis grim, but grim.

Here we go with another sizable set of icons, this time of Ralph Fiennes. It's apparently become a niche of mine to do icons for people that don't have many - who wants another five sets of James McAvoy, anyway? Anyway, Ralph is another one of those pesky personal interest icon sets - don't you just hate that? He's got a very interesting face, I think, goes from serious to silly and back again very quickly. Always somehow managing to look just a little unbalanced. I don't mind unbalanced, though. It's kind of a benefit. All of the images I used here were found at Ralph Fiennes Corner, but you have to register to access the gallery. With that said...

Now we come to my favorite icon subject ever. You don't see many Bruce Willis icon sets out there on the internet - probably because Bruce Willis doesn't have very many properly organized fansites dedicated to him, and he doesn't get a lot of his photoshoots scanned or otherwise spread around. Meanwhile, Mary Elizabeth Winstead has fifty damn websites. Someone explain the logic of this to me, I'm fuzzy on it! Anyway, icons #1 - #21 are from images I got from Bruce Willis PL, which is the most awesome Bruce Willis fansite out there and yet sadly sucky all at once. Those are ads, movie premieres, screen captures from Ocean's Twelve and promotional images from Live Free Or Die Hard. Icons #22 - #28 were created with screencaps from Live Free Or Die Hard that I obtained from MEW Online, which is sad considering I had and have no plans to icon her ever. Icons #29 - #47 were made with screencaps from Live Free Or Die Hard which I found in the Random Caps community on LiveJournal.

Henry Rollins could do with a comprehensive website. I didn't keep track of all the various places I got these pictures, and since most of the images on Mr. Rollins' website are terrible I did have to search far and wide. Google Image Search is your friend, people. Part of me is convinced this guy is on 'roids, and part of me is just amazed at how awesome he looks. And sounds.

Note: Thin black border on all. I love her in her younger days, like White Christmas with Bing Crosby. I cannot express the amount of love I have for her in that film. I iconed her purely because I wanted to. No other reason. I might screencap White Christmas at some point to get some better quality images, since what is available of her older stuff is quite... grainy.

Note: Thin black border on all. A friend uses her as a pb. I wanted to make some icons as a gift, but then I went crazy with them and here you have it. The whole kit-n-kaboodle. Or however you spell that. All images are taken from her fansite, so if one is mis-credited, tell me. I may even have a duplicate or two. I went kind of bleary-eyed while working on them and couldn't keep track of which ones I had done and which ones I hadn't. These have been sitting on my hard drive for probably three months now.

Note: Thin black border on all. I used to use Edward Norton as a pb, so the icons I have of him are of a very specific look. I like his Sheldon look from Death to Smoochy, that innocent look. Therefore, that's what you get. I may make more in the future, as he has lots of interesting photoshoot photos roaming out there.

I like not using overused pbs and I hadn't, at the time I decided on him, seen that anyone else had iconed him. There's a few 80's and 90's shots in here with his crazy Bon Jovi hair, just because I wanted to laugh. Second set forthcoming.

There's something incredibly attractive about his lop-lidded eyes. Anyway, this set was made from a combination of photoshoots and screencaps from "Tristan and Isolde" and "Dark City." I may go back and do another set with Dark City - if I could get my hands on a decent DVD.

Note: Thin black border on all. If you saw me, you'd think it was a riot that I read Gothic Beauty with regularity. I am probably the most vanilla looking girl on the planet that goes to goth bars and stuff. Anyway, that's where I saw Drastique and I love her with a similar love that I have for Dita Von Teese, though not nearly as strong. I don't know who the model is in 27-33 with her, but it looks like someone who could pass for a younger Dita if that's something you need. In 47-49 she is holding a white apple, and there really was no way to bring it out any better. I suppose it could be colorized if someone wants.

There will be more sets in the future, this is just a small sampling.

Note: Thin black border on all. She's one of those obscure actresses that you don't even know you know. For example, she's in the 13th Warrior even though her part is relatively small. Maria has these moments where she is extraordinarily beautiful, but still has this down-to-earth glow to her. Limited self-interest involved here as I use her for a femme aspect pb.

I've really let my fellow Asian females down - I haven't done a set on any of them yet and I'm the one who gets annoyed with seeing Lucy Liu/Gong Li/the Crouching Tiger chics being used for every Asian female character. Enough ranting - here is an icon set.

Shin Eun Kyung is a Korean actress, and most of this pics were from the movies "My Wife is a Gangster 1 & 2." She looks the part of a gangster, so that was why I was very disappointed when they replaced her in the third movie.
