Ed had been poking around in search of a book he had been in the middle of reading and knew was around somewhere when he got distracted from the search by his alt knocking. Not that he knew it was.

"Hi Sa--" he started saying while opening the door before cutting himself off as he blinked at his alt. "You are not Sarah."

Ed gives his alt an evil look. "Don't make me smack you with the book the apartment seems to have eaten when I manage to find it. The thing's something like an inch and a half thick."

"Uh, did the deer LOL somebody or something?"

"Okay. Didn't actually seriously think it was the deer but considering the Nexus..." Ed shrugs. "Oh. That. Come on in."

Ed gets out of the way of his elder alt while continuing to ramble. "I finally managed to find one of the things. Had some trouble since I'd only seen it the once and couldn't quite remember what it looked like beyond 'handheld mechanical thingie'. Finally found it in the Nexus Mall. They aren't actually meant for people to keep permanently, just borrow. Before you ask, yes, it has some instructions. And yes, I also got an extra PINpoint while I was at it so we could pop in the co-ords. How's Elizabeth doing, by the way?"

During the ramble, Ed went over to the cloth shopping bag he had put on the coffee table.

"Tell me about it," Ed mutters as starts to hand over the bag before pausing as he thinks of something. "...You aren't going to let Winry try to take this apart to check out its insides are you? I'd sorta like to get my rental deposit back. Apparently, they have ways of being able to tell if people have been messing with them besides if they're still working when returned."

Ed gives Edward a sheepish look. "Sorry. I'm just paranoid when it comes to Winrys and shiny new toys."

"As I mentioned to him, I'd like to get my deposit back. So take pity on my funds so I can reuse the money elsewhere?" Ed says to Winry, while eyeing his alt.

"Thanks. And I believe you." Ed takes a breath. "It's basically something you wave at the person that doesn't know how to get home. Somehow it gets the information it needs--don't ask me how, I don't know--and gives you the coords. There should be a little instruction booklet in there along with the PIN I nabbed for Elizabeth."

Ed sends a half-hearted swat in the direction of his departed elder alt before tilting his head back to stare blankly at the ceiling while mentally tallying up the amount of people he's gotten with that image so far. "That'll be... seven or eight people now, I think."

Now he looks at the remaining people in the room before smiling brightly. "So, aside from my attempt to cause mind-melt aside, how are you?"

Ed mock-sulks for a moment. "I don't break people's brains that often. ...Sometimes I cause snowball fights instead."

"If it helps any, I mostly manage to behave and act like a rational adult. Honestly, I was just after one alt in particular and things kind of... snowballed from there," Ed admitted.
