After a few days of thinking things over and talking to his brother, Al makes his way out of the hospital and to the office.

When he reaches it, he knocks on the door and waits patiently for Edward to answer, leaning on his cane.

	Edward studies Al for a moment over the rim of his glasses, trying to place which one this is. The cane makes it easier to guess. "Ah, yes, Winry finally released you two? I'd assume you'd want one of the two bedrooms? And as far as your portal, you should have one, but I'm guessing you'll want it moved considering where it opened up to." Edward sighs. "There's an Envy living in building two," he says. "The one from my world, don't ask me why I'm letting him live there after he killed my stupid ass, it's a long damn story. Believe me, my brother is not happy about it. But either you'll want to switch to the first building, or I have to go beg him on my knees to not go around that building in his own form."

	Edward resists the urge to pummel someone for his alternate's behavior, like that might cure him by seeing his aggressor brought to justice. But, it wouldn't help, even if that Envy were still around. Sigh. "Well, anyway." He pushes the lease agreement across the desk with a pen. Edward chooses not to comment on it; honestly, even with practice, his handwriting isn't much better. Roy compared it to a serial killer's handwriting once before.

"Okay, the terms of agreement are fairly simple. This is a safe haven for everyone living here. So if anyone harasses you, contact me. At the same time, no harassing anyone else, either. Come to me if there's a conflict you can't work out on your own.

"Apartments come pre-furnished, with some dry and canned food, non-perishables, that sort of thing, already in there. I'll help you guys get more stuff once you're settled in and ready for Al to go shopping. Don't worry about cost, my purse strings aren't suffering. There's also towels, toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, stuff you'd find at a hotel. It's not going to last you long, but it'll get you through for awhile. There's also toilet paper and paper towels and tissue.

"There's a landline there, automatically connected and part of your rent. There's a list of numbers and places with PIN coordinates by the phone on the wall. Numbers for me, the clinic, local delivery places that are trusted, and the places are local shops that tend to get frequented around here and restaurants that are trusted, such as Greed's place.

"I'll warn you, Ed, Mom and Dad live on the floor below you. Dad's a recluse, but Mom likes to socialize. However, she will absolutely never force herself on anyone who isn't ready to deal with her or doesn't want to deal with her. So don't worry, you probably won't have to worry about her too much."

He thinks. "Let's see, any questions?"
