Lucius winced slightly. Italy? Tonight was the first time he'd mingled with the general public in a number of months, and she was already suggesting a whole weekend away from the manor? He tried not to show his animosity, and instead attempted a smile. "That sounds lovely, maybe sometime soon...I believe the Venice carnival is coming up, that's always worth seeing."
Still smiling, Lucius reached for another olive. "Perhaps we should visit that new restaurant in South Kensington? The Prophet has had fine things to say about it." The thought of London made him feel rather nauseous, though he knew his wife wasn't taking to the recluse's life as much as he was and his 'grace period' was running out rather fast.
Noticing a touch of awkwardness in her tone, Lucius decided to investigate further. "Writing letters, darling? To whom, may I ask?" His lips twisted into a smirk as he took a sip of wine. "I've been in my study mostly. Reading, perfecting my wizard's chess, nothing too extraordinary."
