Who: Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. What: They need to talk. Where: Their flat. When: Friday evening. Rating: Not a clue.
It had been a strange day. They usually were, if you had spent the previous night battling Death Eaters in a government department. With Ron back at work, Hermione had spent her time sleeping on and off, trying to go through her homework and occasionally reading over her journal. She had plenty of distractions available, but even so, she found it difficult to make any of them work for her. Whether she liked it or not, she just kept replaying everything from the night before through her mind.
It had gone well for them, that was inarguable. A couple of people were in St Mungo's and there were minor injuries all around, but they hadn't lost anyone and could consider it a win for once. They had forced the Death Eaters to withdraw, shown them that they weren't so easily toyed with. And taken some down in the process.
Good news, of course, but still rather overwhelming at the same time. Some time that afternoon Hermione had realised she still had Jugson's wand with her. Meaning to leave it at the Ministry after the fight, it had slipped her mind at the time and she ended up taking it home. Leaving it on the kitchen table, she supposed that Ron could take it back with him later. If he ever came home. She couldn't fault him for being at St Mungo's though, Luna deserved visitors and there was no doubt that he would want to see his brother.
The message he had left her along with noting that he would be late concerned her, however. It wasn't clear what he wanted to talk about and Hermione couldn't even come up with a good guess. So all she could do was wait.
